Very good color yes, unfortunatly there are many particulars under the minimum size of what can be print in aluminum.

Maybe only the biggest pieces can be printed in aluminum to make it similar to laserbeak... i have to check, anyway thanks for the tip!!

Really nice design work. Since it's no longer part of the cassette look, I suggest you look at real-world planes for the topside deco - it looks a bit simplistic right now.

Also, which one is the altmode?

I've never thought about alt modes with the cassettes before, but I guess the tape would have to be considered the alt mode. Soundwave's alt mode is clearly the tape deck, so it would make sense that the tapes would also be considered alt mode as well. Then if you look at Rumble/Frenzy it becomes even more clear which mode is which. Either way, I need a small fleet of these in my collection.

I actually liked the first version of the top with no added details - I'd be applying a custom sticker to mine (like your original mock up), so smooth is preferred. Perhaps you can release both options?

pretty nifty concept. I have an image in my head of soundwave and blaster launching a bunch of these at each other, resulting in a massive dogfight!!

might just be getting a couple of these....

Can't wait to order! What type of knowledge/skills do we need to put the cassette together?

To build your own cassette you need:

    1) A modeller Knife to separate pieces from the sprue and to remove residual sprue's signs on pieces
    2) Some safety pins if you buy storng and flexible material
    3) Some small clips if you buy frosted ultra detail material
    4) Small diagonal pliers for cutting pins and clips
    5) Super glue (not a must but better to have if some pieces can't fit perfectly due to print)
    6) Sandpaper to refine some imperfections of the print

If you want also to paint it like mine:

    7) Tamiya fine primer
    8) Acrylic paints with brushes or fine acrylic markers

    The procedure is this:

Separate all pieces from the sprue with the knife and wash each one for about 20 or 30 seconds in acetone, then wash again in hot water with dish soap and the last time in only hot water.
Let them dry and then begin assemblation.

Thanks! So you can order this in 2 different types of materials?

    1. Strong and flexible (with less detail), or
    2. Ultra detail (but presumably less strong and flexible)?

    Exactly!

For example in WSF you can't recognise well the decepticon logo, instead in FUD is very clear as you can see in pictures.
On the other way if you want to play with it i recommend WFS plastic, FUD is very delicate, don't let it fall!!

For now there aren't any other materials that support so tiny particulars and holes for joints, maybe steel but i'm not sure and is too expensive to try...

For WSF, can we have a version w/ the faction left off? Stickers might be a good alternative for that issue.
