I really hope this continues to ignore the Rebirth style because that face design should be set on fire.

Just when I thought the MT Headmasters had stopped at two!

I have a horrible feeling this will be the baby-blue Headmasters colour scheme. Honestly I'm kinda surprised they haven't gone with that awful human-face from Headmasters. What they should have been doing is including alternate heads/faceplates all along (I still want Marvel/Sunbow heads for Hardhead and Chromedome, if you're listening Maketoys!). That would have made everyone happy. But this guy is going to be impossible to please everyone, since his two onscreen decos were so different. Best solution would be two different releases; one Rebirth and one Japanese HM. Make it happen, Maketoys!

Yep, just like that, it will be passed..like the ugly girl at the dance, this is the 3rd party MP game, you snooze, you lose, if these guys don't provide a Sunbow G1 accurate Brainstorm someone down the line will, it's that simple!

Ah well, I'm just glad that they're finally going to finish the Headmasters set of four.

 

I'll probably never make it as far into the ReMaster headmasters and target masters as I want to but if this pairs well with Contact Shot I'll pick try to get a copy.

Tbh, MakeToys's relative Fansproject already delivered a really nice Brainstorm (and a repaint of it), it's just not full MP scale. Arguably the nicest of the FP headmasters. Now MT have to at least top that in order to be relevant.

I don't mind them adding the rebirth head/face as an optional accessory as long as the figure comes with Japanese Headmasters head/face installed be default. Kinda like what they did with MT Contact Shot.

The simple fact that this is MP scale already makes it relevant. The Fansproject versions are an easy pass for those who want larger MP scale.

 

Yes, thank you, Captain Obvious. That's why I said "it's just not full MP scale". The point is MT have to deliver a design that *looks* at least as nice as Smart Robin and Combes Robin do.

 

I think the time frame of Grandmein out in the spring and Wiseblast in the fall is a good goal. You have to consider that with the figures promised for other lines that MT can get out about 4 MTRM figures a year if there only a few other releases. I think we could get Reticle plus these two along with the Galaxy Meteor repaints. I think if Howling sells well you get the repaints announced next TFCon.

I hope it's never KO'd so I can hear them bitching and moaning this figure is sold out.  

 

I don't see why MakeToys couldn't do a Rebirth repaint. It would be another use of the mould. Besides, most people in the USA are going to want that over the different color scheme shown in the Japenese Headmaster cartoon, not to mention the different face.
