On topic: this turned out to be a nice recolor. The colors really do work well on the mold.

It's a plastic toy, but I'll humor the theory and say that the force from the hot air would likely blow the cape up and out of the way from being burned.

 

Cybertronian fabric has a high heat resistance apparently

I agree. It's really grown on me the more I see it. I think I might actually like it more than the original colors (as best I can judge never having seen either in person). I've always liked purple and teal, but I'm surprised how attractive the tan is with it, and that the gold face seems to work so well.

 

Yea. It's a great mold, and I think in the face especially, the cutthroat colors work well because the purple visor and gold face offset a lot better than the orange to red on Blindfire.

 

I notice I don't see many pictures with the configuration I use for bot mode, I plug the cannons into the back of the arms facing upwards so they are in a g1 strafe position, but unlike putting them on the top they can rotate some so they can move for arm articulation and not bang into eachother. I think it looks really cool that way on Ripper, who I always have using his blades.

Nice! I never thought to peg the guns into the holes on the back of his arms rather than peg them in the top. Feel kind of dumb now for never trying it.
