If I recall correctly, the transformation is actually pretty much G1. I think the rest will be more complicated.

Thanx Peaugh. The clear parts look great on Blindfire. Looking forward to reviews of the rest of the members and Quantron combined. And the gift box looks great too. September can't come any faster.

One thing I noticed, which wasn't mentioned in the review (at least for the vehicle mode, Peaugh commented on it for the robot), is that if those front 'wing' pieces are removable, and the guns can mount on the shoulders in robot mode, that means that the toy is capable of a much more G1 configuration in vehicle mode, where the guns replace those pointy wingtips on the front. So that dreading partsforming actually has multiple purposes.

I was wondering about that too---really want to see it, to confirm it can be done. (you never know about some errant tab or something getting in the way) (and that the pointy bits still have somewhere to go, when not in "official" position)

I mean personally I couldn't care less, but this fandom is picky. If it looks like a robot and it looks like a futuristic jet that's all that matters to me. Doesn't matter how it happens.

it's not even really partsforming since the wings are also blade weapons, it's just weapon storage. So excited for these, hoping vangelus hits us up with a review of one of the other figures soon since it sounds like they pieced it out to reviewers.

People and their complaints about partsforming...if they want an transformer without partsforming...engineer one yourself abd see if it looks amazing as the ones maketoys make. Or tell the ones that made the origial g1 to not design a partsformer.

I wonder how good it would look with the guns on the shoulders (g1 style) and the frontwing things pegged underneath.

That way you could just swivel them down for robot mode to get that neat winged look from some of the promo shots.

Or you know, not care about partsforming and/or g1 accuracy. The space jet mode looks really neat in the normal configuration anyway.

That's where I'm at. Its a great looking figure with a smooth transformation and we've been given lots of options to configure how he looks in both modes. I fail to see the negatives.

It'll be a little bit before the Celeritas video's up. I shot the posability section at the panel and have filmed all the footage, but have only written about a third of the rest of the review. Gonna take a swing at it tonight while the fires are still hot.

is it just me or does blind fire look super easy to transform? i was expecting giant's and m3's engineering level. hopefully the other figures are going to be more complex.

Looking forward to Vangelus's review. Based on Peaugh's review, Blindfire's design and transformation (the simplicity of it) line up with what I feel all modern TFs should be like. The other Technobots will likely be more complicated, though I hope not by too much. At least I hope they're considerably less frustrating than the individual Giant pieces were.
