Thats the thing that bothers me about Nosecone as well. The feel nor the look of his plastic isn't like any other MT product I own.

Yeah the only thing similar and it's not as prominent is the texture. Maketoys has one of the most signature plastic feels out of all the 3rd party stuff I own. Giant, battle tanker, nova, trash talk all have it. This one seems thinner or more brittle somehow with a more muted texture.

Blew my mind after comparing it to other MT figures. Feels like a KO of a MT product. If MT release Nosecone as a single release like the two Quantron members so far, I'm gonna buy one to see if the plastic will be the same.

That's almost exactly what happened to me. TFSource took 2 days to reply to my replacement request, but they've sent a part that should arrive Monday.

Other leg seems okay, I've bent the knee a few times with no break. No breaks from other joints either.

Kinda loose in places, but I think I just need to replace the replacement parts before making judgments like that.

My Yellow and Green Giant experiences have been perfect. As have all of my other Maketoys experiences (Utopia, Nova, Nemesis, OP tanker set, Chaos/Paladin, probably a few others I'm forgetting).

Man, aside from the cockpit kibble, Sonic Drill is my favorite of the bunch. It's a shame he's giving some of you problems.

At this point if tfsource replaces my broke part I may never take it out of combined mode.

He had 3 very basic problems that were not major at all and they quickly supplied replacement parts for them almost a year ago.

And since replacing those parts my set has became flawless.

The only people who could possibly have problems with the set now either didn't swap out those parts or like I said previously got some kind of bigfoot esc super duper rare extra fucked version somehow.

Mine was missing the extra parts baggie, but aside from the off-center waist the only fix I needed was to loosen the screws on the torso boy's ratcheting ankle bits (the ones that fold down over the backs of the combined mode knees). Those were so tight they would not ratchet, but like a half turn loosening put them at the right level of resistance.

I have gone thru all 3 modes with no other issues and my figures feel very sturdy. I love how securely every bit and piece of this set locks into place for every mode, and the complexity level is exactly where I like it. A few more days of playing with it, and I think I might have a new favorite combiner to supplant M3.

Preorders are up at BBTS for the solo releases of Sonicdrill and Blindfire. Looks like they're scheduled to come out this month still.

MTCM-03A Blindfire - Third Party Transforming Toys & Accessories Make Toys
MTCM-03E Sonicdrill - Third Party Transforming Toys & Accessories Make Toys

No abusable pricing mistakes this time, but at least it confirms that they're all getting individual releases (or, at least, that there will be a lot of one-legged Quantrons).

As someone who planned to pick them up individually to space out the spending, I'm feeling a little dumb for passing on the TFSource sale if Maketoys is just going to release them all at the same time.

Still have yet to hear anything back from tfsource if they will take care of this broken bit. Opened a ticket on Wednesday.

I got my Quantron from TFSource's sale 2 days ago. I am over the moon with him in terms of aesthetics.

All his joints were incredibly tight, so much that when I finally combined him, my fingers were sore for a day afterward. As of now, I only have 2 complaints: I can't get Lightspeed/Celeritas' front spoiler portion in combined mode to snap together completely, and for some reason Computron as a whole leans to his right slightly (same side as Celeritas).

The replacement parts were easy to install, save for Metalstorm/Scattershot's blasted spring. I also swapped the connecting joints on the hands so that Afterburner could be the right arm and Strafe the left (hey, it was that way when I was a kid).

I want to add him with the rest of my collection in my little man cave, but he's so impressive, I can't bring myself to remove him from my PC desk. I've just been staring at him off and on.

Tfsource told me once they can get a replacement leg from make toys I should get one. So I guess I'll display these in bot modes till he can better stand.

TFSource just sent me confirmation they're sending the replacement parts. While I am optimistic they will send the full set, I got multiple replies (form letter-ish) and one only mentioned a part for Celeritas specifically, so I hope they didn't overcomplicate this.

Just got mine out and messed around a little. Aside from Light speed's neck joint being deformed which is what I assumed the replacement part was for. I got replacement parts for the three problem bots. I didn't have time to mess with them beyond testing joints and giving them guns. I'm going to attempt transformation...

I saw some comments about the plastic. It sure does feel different from enough from everything I've bought from them in a bad way. It's not so flimsy as it feels light and hollow.

i mentioned this a while back but no one seemed interested in commenting, so I thought I'd try again.

I really like almost everything about this combiner save for one thing: his head seems to vanish between the shoulders and the chest and the backpiece doohickey (technical term there!). I wish the head was a different color, or there was something that split the color between the chest and the head.

I'm curious about this, too. Hoping they're new stock with the fixes already in place. I'm totally double-dipping on Quantron as I like the individual bots as well as the combiner. If the individuals come with the fixes, I'll make them into the gestalt and use the older individual bots as solo figures since the fixes mostly only matter for gestalt mode.

Not that I can tell. He's nearly perfect and the only flaw I can find is where The Hands plug into his waist. for some reason one side doesn't sit flush it's barely noticeable and doesn't distract from the overall aesthetic. so far I'm extremely pleased with the first two sets.

out of curiosity what parts are Needin to be replace

Sonic Drill's light attachments, Metalstorm's waist ratchet, and Celeritas has a chest piece that needs swapped. They all come in the little baggie, if it was included. (If not, contact your retailer asap.)

Makes everything more solid, fixes the issues with range of motion and transformation to some degree.
