i think some insider said MT started this as Tryp, ran into probs, then swapped over and finished it as Scorp

The feet is what puts me off, if this started off as Trypticon, it would have been more suitable, but I don't like how chunky it looks from waist down on Scorponok. Hopefully someone else does him, I want a replacement after selling my G1.

 

If only it was about 10" taller...

 

Gonna have to sell a couple marvel legends to afford this guy, but sure as hell will own him!

I just saw this in person today and it's totally insane. BUt with some many people crowding it I just couldn't squeeze in to see the detail.
but if you though Utopia was awesome well............ prepare to be amazed.

 

How...does that work? What kind of problems can be run in to that would necessitate turning a dinosaur into a scorpion? That's even MORE limbs, at the very least!

 

I think FoC Trypticon transforms into a space station? That's gotta be harder to pull off than a scorpion.

Either way this guy is a Wallet Buster for sure.

 

This is easily one of the most anticipated figures of the year for me and I love utopia/dystopia.. I can't wait for this figure! It's going to be a nice shelf display with all of them and the black Zarak repaint is going to be awesome

 

I feel like a Hasbro version would simplify a lot and be easier to handle. This guy looks like he has too many pop-off parts, or that limbs will have trouble maintaining the weight. I really would be happier with something simpler and cheaper (a la Hasbro Metroplex). But that's just me, and if money were no object, I'd be interested in this guy for sure!

The proportions are weird to me, looks too busy. I guess I'm just partial to the original look, and how the Sentinel Megazarak looks. I think it's alt mode will be its best look though.

 

What the hell promted THAT response? One, you can't just go throwing around terms like "worse toy". Things like that are completely subject to opinion. Two, why are you being an ass because he wants to wait for another figure? Did he punch your cousin or something? On topic, this thing looks monstrous. I wish I was able to afford it.

Guess I'll have to get a bunch of *coughperfectlyfinecough* Hasbro toys like the imbecile that I am.

I think some madman with deep pockets could easily customize this into WFC/FOC Trypticon.

 

This is...... busy.

But for people who want it, and can have it, i'm happy.

I'm fairly confident there'll be a more 'geewun' Scorponok eventually.

It's really beautiful in my opinion, but I'm running out of space fast here. Been looking on Craigslist free listings for bookshelves and stuff, but even when I find something, I just don't have that much space to work with. Rack another one up to first world 3P problems. Still, I have a feeling I won't be able to resist the Black Zarak repainted if this does well enough at market.
