I think it's a bit of both. Whilst the official is excellent, there's no denying that it could do with some improvements in the articulation area. If this has better leg articulation and the torso doesn't detach every time you want to simply move an arm, then I wouldn't say no to upgrading, so long as the aesthetics don't stray much from MP-11 because that I think doesn't need much changes.

I doubt they are going to go though the effort of making a mold that isn't better than MP11. It wouldn't make any sense. To make money on this they'll need people who own the current mold to buy this one as well. And let's be honest being "better than MP11" isn't a very high bar to meet.

Besides leg improvement and a locked in chest, what else could be improved on MP-11 then.

I wasn't dying for a new seeker mold, but one improvement would be for the canopy section to sit level with the shoulders in bot mode. The cockpit sits too high on the existing mold. Not terrible by any means, but definitely detracts from the accuracy.

Nothing, but a secure chest would make a world of difference. I also think the head on the current mold is too small

While I do like the official Seekers, I don't see HasTak running to do all of the "new", random seekers. So, for this, I'd love to see some of the purple ones, Bitstream, Hotlink, Ion Storm, Nova Storm, coneheads...lots they can do with this mold without repeating what the official ones have already done.

    As am I.

The current mold, even though improved upon, is pretty outdated now.

I suspect price will be a big part of the equation for these. MP-11 certainly lacks in a few areas, but Im in no way replacing the 5 MP-11 characters I already have. I doubt Im alone on this.

This is great news for anyone who hasnt bought into the MP-11 mold tho.

same here...i can justify to pay that insane amount of jink for MP-11SW, because it is an official product, but a 3P with slightly better look, nay.

Since Cupola costs about $130 in Asia, i wouldn't go holding my breath.

Perhaps, but the Seeker mold is a repaint paradise, so they may be able to lower the price of him because of that fact.

A few inprovements would be a way to make the wings sit further back in robot mode (as in the original prototype) to allow for better arm movement, don't have kibble on the bottom of the wings that interferes with the leg movement, locking torso, waist swivel, better him articulation, and proper feet with ankle swivels.

With these changes and everything locking together solidly, I could see these figures actually being fun to fiddle around with as opposed to just reposing every now and then.

Cupola is MP-10 size, the seekers are about a head shorter. $110 or less I'd say.

holy sheeeeeet!!! if its as good as cupola i'd welcome new seekers. they are not a high priority because to be honest i have like a dozen or so mp seekers but if the new ones are better ( i don't think it will be hard to beat the mp seeker robot mode to be honest!) count me in. i LOVE seekers.

oh in case there is any confusion...i'm super excited this might be happening!!! my wallet should be ok too if these are each less than cuploa...

Also to add, since I'm new to collecting I have zero investment into the MP-11 mold.

The nice thing about these is they at least wouldn't have the damn faction symbols facing the wrong way *cough*TC&SW*cough*

Highly doubt I'll drop the $450 or so for yet another set of MP seekers, though.
