Any tips on painting the hands? They look nice, but i can't imagine how to paint them without messing up the joint articulation or not coating it completely. Did you completely disassemble them and then airbrush?

Nice. I have several things I want painted but can't bring myself to do it. Damn these people being lazy on obvious stuff.

That’s gorgeous. What shade did you use? It’s a perfect match.

Wow... seeking the Maketoys sculpt with the MP-11 head makes me want to scrap my existing seekers. That looks *really* good.

Yeah, if there is an easy way to paint-match the KFC Hot Rod hands to the three Seeker forearm colors, I'm definitely considering going that route, because once they have articulated fingers and the MP11 heads, plus jream upgrades, they really start to seem like masterpiece grade figures and further superior to MP11.

Would like some advice from people who have these seekers if possible.

I have all the Takara seekers, all official (apart from yes model star scream and clear purple ghost)
Is it worth getting rid of the Takara and investing into the maketoys line? Especially with the rumours of acid and sun storm being released as well? I only display as figures. I don’t play or display in vehicle mode.

Just keep looking at them and think they look awesome in pics.

    Thanks

If you can more or less sell what you have and get these for little to no additional cost, sure. I'm hesitant to say they're worth all buying over again, though. While they look better, head on, I don't think there's a huge noticeable difference. But they do look better from the side and have better articulation.

I'd also take into consideration how you display..if you're into toon accurate bot mode I think you'll be really happy with these guys. If it's alt mode you're after I don't think you really need to replace the official.
If you like posing tho you really can't beat these guys. The question becomes are Acid Storm and Sunstorm going to end up being exclusives.

I swear you are the first person I saw say this!!!! I got mine last week and when I saw the waist didn’t lock into place I was like MOTHERFCUKER!!!!!

I coulda just kept my Takara ones if that’s the case! Grrrrrrr. How did I not know this. Feel even more dumb because my MT Skywarp and Thundercracker will be here tomorrow.

Yeah I'm genuinely shocked at how little I've seen it brought up. Glaring issue on an otherwise amazing figure.

I'm not sure I agree that there isnt a huge noticeable difference. To the layman maybe but to a fan you can easily tell them apart and they fit the current Takara aesthetic much better than the mp3/11 mould.

I guess ultimately you've gotta ask yourself if it's worth the extra money to swap and just replace as the value of Takara's has tanked.

Man I'd have to disagree. I think Meteor is TOO simplified. I liked Jream's upgrades a lot, but there are just thinks of this mold I would still wanted added. But then on the flip side MP11 colors are now just so bland and might be a touch too detailed in relation to other MPs. Plus he's too stiff in poses. I think both kind of stick out because of their reasons.

I bought Meteor because I like the dynamic poseability way more and do think he's an upgrade over MP11, but I do feel like he could possibly be a placeholder (Albeit a good one!). Regardless I'm keeping both :D  (MP just stays in plane mode for now, but might later just wear the cape and crown for theatrics heh)
