    Yeah.... I would

Its a teaser, and you can barely make out half of the silhouette. Seriously wonder if my eyesight is going funny or you lot are seeing a different picture.

Unless you are some kind of savant and can look at things and immediately understand exactly how they are constructed I fail to see how in the blue hell you can possibly know that from a partial picture.

People see panel gaps and immediately assume difficulty. Panels are only a pain if they have poor clearance or fiddly tabs, plenty of figures are panel-crazy and can still be very easy to handle and so fun to as well.

Also they've probably had a proto for a while and have been revising the mold based on our previous feedback alongside polishing it up in general, which would explain them not wanting to show the full thing just yet. I'm excited for every little thing we get of this guy, never thought I'd be so hyped to have a mp megs but mt has yet to disappoint me with their master line.

Maketoys has come to deliver us from "that who cannot be transformed".

I seriously hope MT nails this. Their transforms may not be the most fun, but at least they make sense on some level and are not in the realm of impossible to do.

The transform on apollyon killed it for me even if he had a good look. If this has the megatron look, and it can actually be enjoyed as a toy and not a statue, then it's the MP megatron for me.

I was talking about the texture of what we can see, rough = prototype.

Yeah, panel-forming doesn't have to mean a floppy fiddly scary to transform thing necessarily. If you look at the actual number of visible panels, and take into account the fact that the design of Despotron we've seen to date suggest much of the panels consist of large, clean panels (hence the chunkier legs,) it's at least hopeful that the transformation will be intuitive, clean, and fun.

MakeToys and DX9, imo, produce toys. In the sense that they are able to be transformed and played with while, for the most part, remaining tight and having at least decent QC. This is an uneducated opinion born of watching many, many reviews rather than having handled their products (though I did get to handle a DX9 Carry and a MakeToys Chigurh owned by a friend and - some tabbing together issues in shuttle mode on Chigurh notwithstanding - they were nice and tight despite their complexity. Much more so than the two Apollyons I've handled which, while BEAUTIFUL!!! ... we terrifying for me to transform lol.)

The real question for me will just be whether the aesthetic is what I want from a G1 style MP Megatron. Particularly the face sculpt. I can live with chunky legs. Just need to see that face, and how clean the final transformation is. The overall impression so far looks really appealing to me, though... obviously... this is very preliminary still.

Pretty much my exact thoughts. I decided to skip apollyon but there is a decidely large megatron shaped whole in my collection.
    Fingers crossed then.......

I'm interested in how this turns out. I have XTB Apollyon but I have never transformed him and frankly I am scared to, but he is a very good depiction of Apollyon. I know MT have a good record for quality and QC so I'm sure this will turn out solid.

I agree. If they nail the face sculpt on this, I'm in.

I'm .. Kinda shocked. Looks good so far. Very good. But I find it interesting that they're hiding the "best" parts ...

I need to see a full Proto before I even think of boxing up Apollyon. If the legs aren't any "better" or anything else really cleaned up; then it makes no sense to me personally to waste another $150.00 on a slight upgrade.

Well this is interesting. For me everything comes to down to the face sculpt. If he has an animu face then no thanks.
