Got him today, and I dig him! This brute has some nice heft to him! I've always wanted a G1 Hardhead, but never found one at a good price. This guy, wow, he is an impressive bot. Worth every penny. I'm so excited to add him to my MP collection along with Contactshot!!! My ONLY nitpick would be that I wish his visor and eyes were painted in that nice chrome-blue that many 3P's use on the newer MP releases. But this was an early release and I'm fine with that. I could be one of those military "no glare" glasses. ;)

Yeah, I like Ironwill more that I thought I would. It's impressive to me that MT got those proportions on the robot into a tank that looks so much like the G1 toy.

As impressed as I am with him, though, I think I'm more impressed with Cupola.

Just picked up this guy. His chest seems a bit loose, anyone else experience that? Assuming a bit of nail polish or something should tighten the tab and its not something i'm doing wrong

Yeah the loose chest piece is pretty common but a bit of future in a few spots can help with that.

Outside of that, Iron Will is one of my top three favorite toys. MT just nailed him so perfectly.

The Ironwill I bought from TCP showed up a couple of days ago. The build quality is great, though the chest seems a bit loose. I love the diecast in the legs as it helps with balancing the figure.

Even with that said I was underwhelmed when he showed up, and still feel that way a bit. I'll hold on to it for a bit longer to see if I really like it, but he feels like a regrettable impulse buy at the moment.

Whats making you feel that way?
I picked mine up in a holiday sale last year and fell in love with it! I have no real affection for the character but I'm still enamored with Ironwill. Hes a big imposing bot, hes got plenty of firepower, feels good in hand, has a fun transformation, great alt mode, a cool headmaster and those awesome working treads! I bought Cuppola and Contact Shot this year based on how much I fell in love with Ironwill! Different stroke for different folks and all but Im curious what missed the mark for you.

I'd say it's just a combination of all the minor issues I have with the toy. He's a really solid toy as I mentioned before but I'm just not in love with the it.

Got the 3 guys on Monday. Played around with Cupola a bit, and he was ok.

But I love Ironwill. Transformation is great. He's solid and hefty. Great figure.

Got this guy (along with Cupola) from MT as part of their BF sale. Overall, I really like him. I'm noticing the ratchet on the right knee isn't as "clicky" as the ratchet on the left knee. Does anyone else have this issue? Also, I got the replacement parts, but unlike the ones that came for Cupola, there aren't any instructions. What exactly are these parts for?

Replaces the "forehead" of Ironwill. Just pop out the old forehead and click together the new around the metal peg.
Basically has tabs on the side to the arms can peg in head mode vs not having any tab.

Ah...awesome. The fiddliness of the head mode was one of my few complaints on this guy. Thanks!

TCP is showing this guy as a 'pre-order premotion' does that mean he's on sale for his pre order and if so when will he be stock again?

You can get him directly from the Maketoys.jp site - they will sell him directly to you, with the free conversion parts, and they have flat rate shipping from HK. However... they had him on super sale until recently, so he's back at full price.

It was previously shown "mid December" but they removed it, so probably they don't even know when it will come. If you are interested, you can order with the option of "paypal invoice when available" as payment method. This is what I did.
