Just noticed this online on the back of the packaging for Maketoys Maestro.
Is this officially announcing we will get Maketoys Rainmakers soon???

 

On that note, who is 'Steel Eagle' supposed to be?

Thanks, and duh on my part, and now I totally see it.

 

That acid storm might be my first foray into this mold. I’ve heard positive things about the maketoys seekers, but I already have multiple versions of seeker characters. It’d be nice if they went with decos that haven’t been done by others before.

 

I'd definitely get those Rainmakers if they are released. I just wish that the upper legs of Solstorm were yellow as well. That would make him perfect.

 

Can someone make a Sunstorm reminiscent of the ehobby release please ??

I would definitely get these,and hopefully we get Hotlink and Bitstream too.

 

Was posted some time ago in the G2 Jazz thread, but only fair and right that it has a thread of it's own.

If they release these then hopefully they won't be exclusives. I like the colours for Sunstorm and Acid Storm (but esp Sunstorm) a whole lot better than the official or its KO. Still not Dreamwave enough, but better.

Then again,I don't really like the mould. It just feels unfinished in several area's (hollow wings, non rolling wheels, butt flap, the loose connection of the nosecone in robotmode) that all really should've been fixed, especially considering the extend to which they milk the mould.

I've wanted a Dreamwave colored MP Sunstorm for ages. Solstorm is the closest to that yet.

If the seekers and coneheads sell well enough, you can bet they will do all of the repaints that factory schedule allows for. Rainmakers. G2. Ghost SS, etc.

 

Damn, that's nice. I'm not sure I have room for more than the main three and the coney's, but it would be tempting.
I need to leave room for proper MP Tetra jets though. Surely someone will do those.

Why are we assuming it’s sunstorm? If it’s intended to be a rainmaker, that would make it novastorm. Also g1 sunstorm wasn’t that color.

 

Probably because Sunstorm is the more obvious choice.


But yeah....it could be the other one.

These guys are pretty, but I'm having a hard time decided to go in on this mold six times, let alone 8. Might stick with my ToyWorld Coneheads and hope that MAAS does the Rainmakers.

 

I may get a set depending on price, I have both the Hasbro and takara seekers/coneheads, and the maketoys seekers and backed all six of maas's jets, so little room if any for more duplicates.
