Yep, that's why I got Devil Stinger to begin with. I have zero desire for a Hastak repaint of Scorponok, even though I like it a lot.

 

Still a gem that I wish more fans gave a chance

 

He really is an amazing figure. I'm selling mine to subsidize a GS Zarak though, because of the playability factor. Devil Stinger is filled with so many sharp, pointy bits as to almost render him unusable to me.

 

If they ever do a thing that gives Legacy BlackZarak that ponytail like this one has I’ll be ALL over that

 

*sigh* they sure did. I wonder what the figure weight is? When I just sold mine, the weight of the box shipped was 16.9 pounds.

Sorry to hear that, I know full well that feeling and it definitely can be a bummer (looking at Maketoys Dystopia)

On the bright side, for Black Zarak there is always the hasbro release if you want a version of that character. The hasbro version is equally cool and definitely more affordable than the Maketoys one.

You know how it is, when I came into this he was still available but I wasn't making as much money as I do now, but now I could afford him he's a rarity. Tsk. I do have Hasbro Zarak though and he's pretty cool, I just think this guy looks way cooler.

 

I got really close up buy it years ago when it was available from Kapow for less than 300 euro, if I remember correctly. I decided against it because at the time I wasn't sure where to put it.
I also passed when it was on sale for $200 from the US because shipping and customs nearly doubled the price.
I still regret a bit not having it because it's a cool figure, but circumstances never fully aligned properly.

 

It's such a huge money and space commitment, and with how intensely cartoon G1 the 3P market shifted its no mystery the Black Zarak version didn't move fast.

I actually paid for it on Tfsource when it went on clearance but then my payment got rejected  
Managed to hunt down a Pandinus years later but unfortunately it had a QC issue where one of the clear toe claws was missing and I can't do anything about it since Maketoys is dead. I wish I could find someone to 3D print it.

 

Sadly I regret not grabbing him when I had the chance, but for me it was an issue of room already. I still have Pandinus standing on the floor next to Planet X's Apocalypse and MakeToys-modded Omega Supreme, LOL!

 

I went for the contrarian approach and got Maketoys Scorponok and Hasbro Black Zarak.

 

I've got one available MISB. Hit me up! A combination of needing the money and running out of room. I've got Pandinus, too, and he's a badass brute. Great mold!
