    That reminds me...

*cranks up bullhorn, aims it at the microphone hidden inside Contactshot*
"Hey Maketoys! Give him the briefcase!!"

    *turns to FansProject Smart Robin*
"Hey FansProject... you're not off the hook yet. When Hardhead?"

Didn't Toyworld or someone make a Hardhead that was similar in scale with FansProject's Headmasters? Hardbone, or something?

They made Hardbone and Brainwave ... no disguising who those names belong to, but that was it for their Headmasters.

They're great figures, but Brainwave is a bulky x-wing more than a Brainstorm jet mode.

I keep a battery starter in my truck for my cold mechanical heart.

Glad to see MakeToys is still alive. I have no interest in this figure, but I’m elated for you all that were patiently waiting for it. Hope it lives up to your expectations!

They made Swamper/Skullcruncher and Infinitor/Fort Max too.

Well, I had no hopes we would ever see another Headmaster from MT, but I guess never say never? Seems like it's also a new design, which would answer my fear that it might feel dated when it actually comes out. I'm looking forward for the first reviews.

I’m intrigued by this new design. One thing that still looks dated: I don’t see any signs of joints for good lateral arm movement. If that’s not initiated, that’s a big disappointment.

I'm in. Ironically enough, now that I've pulled back from collecting a bit, when I go to mess with a 3P MP toy it's usually the MT headmasters & pointblank.

I was a major FT advocate many years ago, but the simplicity and fun of the conversions for MT MPs just did something memorable that I find them as fun and enjoyable puzzles to flip back and forth.

I'm glad to see this is finally getting a release and I hope they can finish the set and get brainstorm out eventually as well.

So happy they are doing this.

Had a lot of fun playing with Highbrow back in the day.

This looks great. I like the color choices. There are few G1 toy details and a non-visor option to get that G1 toy head look. Looks like the lower legs were redone and double knee joint added. Much improved.

Absolutely great that they're (finally) going to be releasing this, and even an improved design. I have and had several Maketoys figures and I absolute love most of them. Their design appeals to me and they're fun figure to handle.

That said, I won't be buying this. It's a couple of years to late and I've changed the focus of my MP collection. Once I wanted a MP based neo-G1 collection, but in the last year or two I changed this and the headmasters era I now want Classics sized. Sold MT Hardhead and no longer interested in this.

Bit of a shame, because MT makes really good figures.

So long as it gets us the remaining two Autobots Headmasters and all the missing TargetMasters, I am good with whatever they've done.

I want more Classics/Cross Dimensions figures from MT too. I'm buying this and one of the coneheads just to give support and hope that MT makes more Cross Dimensions and combiners.

Striker Noir is my favorite figure in my whole collection. I want more Maketoys period. I hope we get more Cross Dimensions once MT is done building back up. At least finish SG Quantron/Computron.

That's just it, they canceled Reticle (Crosshairs) and never announced a Sureshot so the Targetmasters were never part of the return equation. To show a completed Grandmein with no Brainstorm is also telling. This was released with the Coneheads at the same time so Maketoys clearly knows their customer base is pissed at them and wouldn't want to leave these loose ends hanging when they want these to fly off the shelves. Both Coneheads, although mispainted, were shown complete and announced with an Endgame reissue so you can complete the Coneheads. They really don't want you waiting for Takara and dodged a deathblow from Deformation Space. They clearly know FT is doing the Autobot Headmasters and like the Coneheads need to sneak in there to get the rest of theirs out. Releasing a Highbrow while still no information on Brainstorm is going to diminish their sales. Likewise, you are right, having a Contact Shot out there while canceling their Crosshairs with no Sureshot is not going to win them fans either. I would thrown down preorders for all 4 bots if they other three were announced and shown in development. I think this just shows that currently, Maketoys is still in a delicate situation and trying to recoup sunk costs. I have no faith that the company has a future beyond these 3 figures upon release. This is essentially like a new company starting out and I am sure they are betting any future of the company on the sale of these 3 figures. We have no way of knowing how much money the company lost and this may just help them break even.

Indeed. We, sadly, just have to let it play out to see where we end up.

On the subject of jets, while I don't necessarily like the MT-Seekers, I find they may be our only hope to get more [I don't even like calling them this given recent Hasbro repaints] obscure colors like G2 Ramjet, Sandstorm and ActionMaster Thundercracker. Kind of like the TFSource TFCon exclusives. If they announced them and set up preorders, I would buy them. Since I am one of the rare individuals who actually likes the original Masterpiece Starscream and the figures that came from it, less mainstream repaints are the only way I am going to buy any new seeker designs be it MT or any other company. And MT would have my money because I am already buying their aesthetic. Actually, I may be five repaints deep with the G2 Starscream and TFCon Skittles Brigade.
