The same freelance designer does work for both. They probably share a factory. Also, does it matter?

They do use the same scale for their products.

They both loved the same girl once, but she broke their hearts.
Now they drown their sorrows in cheap whiskey and expensive 3rd Party transformers, yearning for that long-lost combination with their one true love...their bodies, joined as one...the way they could spend hours lost in her eyes, like a partsforming trailer around a robot/truck body.

As has been said. It's just a FP guy doing the stuff he personally wants to do.

No... no one here knows the exact relationship... though, given the comments so far... it seems like they think they do for some odd reason.

He's probably asking out of curiosity. I was curious, too. Does that matter?

I would be curious to know too...though I don't want to tick this dustin guy off with any questions.

Seriously, it's all hearsay, although an awful lot of it. I have HEARD that they are actually the same company from 2 ppl that work for 2 separate 3rd party companies.
Venksta is probably your most reliable source in this forum.
But to me it makes no real difference in the end.

The most sense-making rumor I've heard from a reliable source says that warbo is not tfc, but possibly another toy company that was not a third party co.
The major dif I see is that TFC builds combiners 1 bit at a time, they've never revealed a full combiner, (have they)? I have my own suspicions but they are completely unfounded.

None of this matters..........but I'd be curious to know anyway.

There are one or two "informed sources" on this board that don't break cover a lot but are "in the know" in ways most of us aren't and it's been strongly "hinted" that MT are an offshoot of FP and actively co-operate as much as separate entities can in sharing resources and design-philosophies. Until or unless somebody breaks cover with better info than that (unlikely) that's the best I've seen on these boards.

Or slip A3U $100 and they might tell.......they do stuff for money. So I've heard.....

The most I've heard is that the two companies are just friends who help each other. I don't see any reason to doubt this. I remember asking the FP Core guys at TFcon if they had any relationship with MT and the guy just laughed and said "no comment", to which I replied that that kind of response just confirms that they do have a relationship, but just can't publicly say so.

I don't see why there's a reason to think they're actually FP under a different name. FP is still around and has different lines for different projects. There's no reason to think they'd make a whole new company to pursue different projects at this point.

At the same time I don't see why they don't just come out and say that. Politics? Maybe they're so tightly tied that it's a tax thing? At this point I'm just wildly speculating.
