Never thought incomplete Shattered Glass releases would get so much excitement, especially over third party releases.

The excitement comes from life being brought back to this project that most of us thought was dead. I figured Ripper was just a one-off, and that the rest of the team wasnt coming given how long age he was released. This is my chance to own a second set of these molds to display in bot mode without feeling guilty for buying 2 sets of the same deco.

Kinda like that G2 deco of FP's Car Crash (Kar Krash was it?). I don't think we'll ever see the rest of that team getting a G2 treatment.

Well, Hasbro made a G2 Stunticon set that you can get the whole combiner for $100, so that sorta killed that market. No one is making a cheap SG Computron, sadly.

Now who do I have to kidnap or bribe to get Ordin in SG Abominus colors?

I talked to one of the FPcore guys when it was released at TFcon Toronto 2014. He said they had no plans to make the whole team. Basically it's meant to homage the first Botcon exclusive G2 Breakdown. It was actually supposed to be released at Botcon 2014 but it wasn't ready yet.

Now I hope it's not another two year wait for the next one.

Excellent! I thought the SG Technobots were dead! I'll happily pick up the rest of them when they show up, despite having gotten rid of the original Quantron ages ago.

A shame. They would have banked had they continued releasing them.

Man I completely forgot I came up with those. Haha the blot one was probably one of my more "successful" ideas.

Wish I could remember who came up with the bird mode for ripper cause that one is still the best.

Here's hoping this means they intend to do the remaining three as well and we get the combine pars for em too.

For SG collectors, this is a nice thing, plus those that love the mold and random one-offs like this or Ripper, but...

    (screams into a pillow)

Man I want G2 or Guard City colors (though with Streetwise, they kind of did that already honestly). We don't get many redecos of third party combiners, period, so this is frustrating for me on some level.

It may be easy for me to say, but yeah that still seems like a dumb move by FP to not do a full G2 team. Though they're not my favorite combiner team (mostly due to their Motormaster), I still prefer their Menasor and would still much prefer a G2 FP Menasor over Hasbro's offering.

(I also remember being at Botcon '14, and I think it was a A3U guy that was there, that had a Kar Krash at the table, that said it was "only a custom" and not a forthcoming product. Hearing that, then the claim that FP never had the intention of doing a full G2 team, always gave me hope that was confusion, unwitting misinformation or outright bullshit. It certainly appears the TFCon statement holds up as correct, but given how fucking slow FP is in doing anything, a G2 set showing up one day wouldn't surprise me much either, even now.)
