I know, "but Maketoys Despotron already has a thread!"

Well, I've been checking out their web site, and it seems to be implied that the MTRM Despotron is their MP style Megatron, while this is a thread for the Cross Dimension Megatron, which is part of the "augmented reality" toy line with app tie-in. The character models for the two Despotrons are very different. So enjoy a look at Maketoys OTHER Despotron!

It appears to be Convoy and Despotron with power-ups.

 

Obviously gonna be a tank megatron as he has treads on his legs and back, so looking forward to seeing it. Been waiting what feels like forever for some decent classics style prime n megs.

Though the much broader optimus makes me wonder if the striker figure is coming with an armor set, given mt's history probably. Guess they really love doing that haha.

Same, I generally don't pass on Megatron (if he converts to a gun), but this looks too classicy'... like the nerf version met power Rangers !!!

Definitely that jewel or gem stone ( heart of cybertron?? ) needs to go ...

I'll probably get him regardless because I love the look of their Prime, I trust Maketoys' quality and I love power up gimmicks.  

 

hoping its not a despotron add-on, still want their G1 megs! whats the chest thing, like the dark engergon?

 

I figure the chest thing is where you're supposed to put the Decepticon symbol, or symbolizes the Decepticon symbol.

Where is the previous Despotron that I eagerly wait? The normal Despotron is strange, and the Riot Despotron is kinda... I don't know... too animated cross RID looking? If Riot Despotron can change into double barrelled gun, I might reconsider this... But right now, I will wait other offering.

EDIT: So this is their Other Despotron. I can understand now why it is too anime looking.

 

This is an entirely different figure to their Master Line Despotron.
