$115? I got my first City Commander for $80 - and that was from Fansproject, not "Please believe our stuff won't suck". I'll not be forking over $115 for this, thanks anyway.

 

My 2 cents about the BBTS thing... If you don't like the price just get them from a different distributor... There's a bunch of those on the web. BBTS can't please everybody. That's enough of that and let's all just wait for the official pricing from Maketoys.

An apology for this rather mean and unnecessary statement would be in order. You don't need to justify your desire not to move to Asia by insulting 'manga kids'.

$115 is a bit much but it might still come in at a lower price point and who knows it might come with more accessories than what we've seen so far, also December 2011 seems a bit ambitious seeing as we're almost into September and there really hasn't been much news about it since Botcon.

 

Imo december seems realistic... That $115 instead not so much: something says me that shops like robot kingdom will list it for $90   Or I at least I hope...

 

Hopefully it ends up in the same retail channels that Fansproject has been able to use since they are apparently friendly with Maketoy (and NOT the same group...)

 

Its a good bet this auction's price is not based on actual retail info from Maketoy themselves. Whens the last time a 3rd party product's pricing was first revealed through an auction site? Its always through a online retailer or through the 3rd party themselves. TF fans forget easily.

 

Uh... wasn't the first City Commander square in the category of "Please believe our stuff won't suck"? They hadn't exactly had a lot of product out when that released...

 

$115 is too much. Price it at the $80-90 mark and I'm in.

I think he's just qualifying it as such if the price did became $115 since Maketoys is basically in the same boat as Fansproject when they first started.

 

I really want this but $115? that is just too much. I will get one 2nd hand for cheaper.

 

Plus the first releases of City Commander came out three years ago, prices have been going up with each subsequent release.

 

Since it seems to be an auction price, the price will probably drop when more are produced (I hope).

I wonder why people are reading past the posts that say this is an auction and might not actually be Maketoy's price?   Let's wait for an official announcement  

 

FP had a couple things out by then - Cliffjumper head, a few accessories. They were new, but their quality stood out and they had some reviews. They weren't asking for over $100 for their first shot.

If this trailer comes out and it gets some awesome reviews and feedback, I might rethink buying it and pick one up. But I'm not paying $115 to be a guinea pig and "try" Maketoys. What else do they have out, RIGHT NOW?
