I've noticed a lot of people complaining about the HA Jazz figure's face being hideously ugly. While I know for some this goes for all movie designs, but generally it seems a lot of people find HA Jazz ugly. Looking at pictures, I wondered if maybe some paint apps might improve on his looks a bit. I think it looks good. I may even try and actually do this to the figure when I get one. Let me know what you think. With paint apps. (Digital paint) Original without paint apps.
This thread is a bit more suited for Creative General Discussion, so here we are! About the topic, I guess I'm very indifferent on it. I think your suggestion may improve it just a bit, but I'd think that it would take more than a few paint apps to improve upon the design.
Ah ok. I usually just do digibashes, so I wasn't quite sure. Well like I said, if you hate the actual movie design then there's not much hope. But this is meant more to be a general improvement to the existing figure. My question basically being do the paint apps do enough of a difference alone.
That looks much less creepy. With the unpainted bare gold plastic, it makes it look like his eyes have been ripped out or something. I think it would look even better if you painted the frames around his eyes silver, though.
I swear to god that he looks like Iron Maiden's mascot Eddie. I think with the paint apps that you showed, that it should make it look better, that two tone face is kinda wonky.
It does. The visor flips up under his helmet on the HA figure. It's a cool feature, but a lot of people complained that the face underneath was unusually ugly. For whatever reason Jazz just has this solid gold all around the part of his face that's usually under the visor, so I tried (digitally) doing some paint app detail to see if it'd look generally better.
Holy Crap, I've never seen his face without a visor! Everyone was right! I think the painted one looks better.
I just transformed & put the HA Jazz on display yesterday. I didn't know there was a flip up visor hidden under the helmet. now i've gotta check out my HA Jazz on display to see it the visor is flipped down over the eyes or still hidden under the helmet.
