That said, I mostly disagree.

Sure, there's an argument to be made for the expedience and cost-effectiveness of "blockier" designs leading towards more screen time, but that only works for HARDCORE Transformers fans. These movies are EXPENSIVE AS ALL HELL and NEED to WOW general audiences with EXTREMELY complicated designs to be self-sustaining.

actually, i think the only problem with the movie designs are the colors. they need to be better colored. especially megatron.

other than that, they look fine to me.

as for the Lamborghini and hot rod comment, about only sideswipe should be one *or sunstreaker, i've seen that comment in previous threads.*

to me, it really doesn't matter what the characters turn into, as long as they look cool. they could make optimus prime a jet for all i care, as long as he looks cool.

but again, the problem with hot rod isn't what he turns into, but really, the lack of color. it's a big bunch of black, with some red slapped on here and there. it really needs more, and better colors. i do not even care what the colors are, as long as they look good.

i mean, right now i think the best character design is Squeeks. *at least for this movie.* since it has colors. and i can actually i can actually make out what things are.

colors. colors is what the movies really lack.
