What is it about the forearms you don't like?
Besides these gaps, the scuplt is near perfect to me.
I get that. Bugged the hell out of me in photos (almost didn't get any member of the mold) but, in all honesty, it doesn't bother me a bit in person on my shelf.
Now I have the core 3 and Sunstorm (got a decent copy).
Yeah, that pic really showcases the gap, I'm sure in hand at different angles it's not too noticable, especially on the dark arms of Lightning and Endgame
Hell yeah, let’s release this dude, I need my coneheads
Notice this copy also has the cockpit gap... looking like that's a flaw with the figure you have to live with, or remove the head in alt mode
Or bore out a little bit of the nose cone so the head fits proper.
A little, but not in a way that’s going to really affect posing/display unless you’re going wild. The more you angle the lower wings on the legs back the more interference you’ll hit, and the upper wings can’t angle back when folded down like they can when they’re up on the shoulders. But as for leg bend, you really only get issues when you go past around 90 degrees at the knee.
With the lower wing angled the small upper wing slides along the edge until it catches on the fin.
With the leg wing unangled there’s no real issue
Thanks for the pics @Peaugh!
TFS express this week then, anyone got a kapow invoice? As usual only about 50p difference in price.
Yeah the gap is a little ugly but it's really not that noticeable in hand. MP-44 has gaps, visible hinges and ugly kibble all over it that are just as bad or worse, and there's a lot more of them than on this design.
The rest of the sculpt looks amazing and the fact that the mould can achieve dynamic poses and has such great articulation is totally worth a small forearm gap for me.
It really leaves MP-03 and all it's remoulds in the dust.
Because let's face it, even the Yes Model figures are just remoulds of a figure that was first released in 2006. At this point, that effort is beyond outdated. Takara may well release a new Seeker in the next few years, but for me, Meteor and his mould-mates have already won.
I'm waiting on Kapow to invoice me, so it's not in their inventory yet by the looks of it
Maketoys gotta keep that mysterious reputation, no one can ever know the true release date, and ShowZ isn’t even allowed to know the price.
Sure, 44 has his gaps, but I can't think of one let alone two which you can see straight through when looking head on which is the most important thing with Masterpieces.
I'll see how I feel about Maketoys' version when Takara finally reveals theirs, I'm sure people will jump ship and off load for cost or less. I'm sure I'll prefer Takara's anywho...but not their price.
@Peaugh Can you post a frontal pic with him in an A stance with the small wings like in your above pics. Squeeze and spank you....I mean please and thank you.... oops.
Same, i always back the wrong horse.
You can see right into the joint when you bend the knees. Similarly, you can see the gap between the foot and the outer leg. It definitely has visible gaps from the front.
TFS -Express has this in stock and is shipping now. Also, I just noticed they don't use a secure connection? Doesn't that seem weird for a website holding personal info to not have a secure SSL? I never really noticed before.
MakeToys MTRM-15 Endgame
we still get the wing filler right?
