Now that the thread's bumped, I'll just say that I do hope Maketoys doesn't wait forever to do the remaining seekers. One of the things that finally tipped me into getting Meteor was the fact that they teased Dirge. I want six seekers, not just Starscream.

 

Are those wings filled out, not hollow like Starscream's?

 

They look pretty filled out to me.

 

The pictures may be in another thread but at the same show they also showed lined renders for Thrust and Ramjet that look amazing as well. I am tired of guessing what MT will do but their actions signal that they should use this year to clear out their G1 products while they are developing the Galaxy line. Highbrow is virtually done, Brainstorm is designed, repaints for Thundercracker and Skywarp with these conehead remolds almost complete. I think they delay their Apeface to get these other things done. Depending on how well they sell they can always reissue the Seekers while they sell their Galaxy line and get so many reuses out of those molds.

 

I'm glad to hear that. I suppose those pics might be in the Meteor thread, which would explain why I haven't seen them; I tend to lose track of a figure's thread once I have the figure. Hopefully, some preorders will show at some point. I've wondered if MT would make Thundercracker and Skywarp website exclusives like they did with their not-Grapple.

 

Did you bump a thread about Maketoys' Conheads to ask about a totally unrelated MMC figure? Maybe try the thread for that toy instead?

 

I don't think they are going to want to do that and if you follow what they are doing for the Galaxy repaints you already have the names set out as Skycrow and Lightning. They need to get product out there and selling. I think Meteor got a good response so they should follow through quickly.

 

I prefer the look of these over there Meteor. I’m down for all 3 versions of there cone heads pending they look as a good as that colored digi bash.

Just a general gripe - where the hell is all the 3P news, MT or otherwise?? CNY is over and I’m not seeing real movement on anything outside of FT Rouge ... I remember couple yrs ago there was tons of news/releases following CNY ...

 

Badcube has gone silent. Outside of Gabriel, Dx9 has gone silent.

 

I've been wondering myself. I'm thinking maybe things were getting a bit to cutthroat so it could be that more third party companies are waiting until they're further into development so they're not all trying to release the same character. Hopefully anyway.

 

Apparently Badcube is active again but I think they are out of G1. After this year, I think Maketoys will mostly be gone as well. It looks like XTB/KFC, FT, FH, and DX9/UT going forward. FH is the outlier. It will be interesting to see what their focus is after this first group of characters is exhausted.

 

As long as MT get Highbrow, Brainstorm, Skywarp and Thundercracker out that'sfine by me. Of course I'd love them to do a cartoon Cerebros to go with the other 4 too but more chance of plaeting fog sadly.

 

Maybe HasTak has gotten to them .....
