Oh!!! Now that’s interesting!!!
The two biggest issues I had with Striker and Rioter where:
1) Small size (I prefer larger MP ish sizes for my Opti:Megs) but I can get over that
2) terrible bare unpainted plastic. Rioter is the worst example of this as his plastic is that horrible cheap looking grey plastic but even Striker never really wowed with his finish.
This goes a long way to absolving those concerns. If they do Rioter in a nice metallic silver I’ll probably pick these up. Was going to settle for the KO’s but this may just be worth paying full price for!

 

That looks nice. I like the axe accessory.

 

Glad Maketoys is doing something to combat the KO, just not sure it's enough to get me to upgrade from the regular release I have.

Looks nice, but not enough for me to double-dip. Still love my Striker Manus.
Now Rioter. That may be something I'd buy in metallic colors.

 

Now we need to Metallic MT Jetfire to match this.

 

oooooh, that looks nice. Even after buying the original and the KO I'm still very tempted to get this.

 

That is gorgeous, but I don’t need this toy a third time (I’m talking to you, brain, stop trying to rationalize buying this again).

 

This is a great thing to do to combat the KO (as someone already said before me).

I just wish official and 3P companies would announce all their \"main\" versions of any given figure around the same time (special editions, last-minute recolours or event exclusives non-withstanding), especially the \"metallic/toy/realistic\" and \"anime/comic/cartoon\" versions).  Then I would either not double-dip or be less likely to get a KO version (which usually gives me the version that I wanted).

I remember the TT \"Ultra PVC\" figures many years ago, which were sold, at the same time, in both metallic and anime colours, or the Robot Masters Convoys, which had similar, almost simultaneous options.

I would like to see this versus the original release with the Jetfire armor. Also I wonder if they will do the weapons pack that game with Noir. Looks great though.

That pops. Do it with Rioter too and I’ll get them both. Again.  

 

Would be cool if they re-issued Thunder Manus as a metallic repaint as well.

 

I don't think they could, this looks like a reaction rather than a planned action from the start.
