Right leg is definitively appears digitally colored/ edited and some parts like the windows look cut and pasted from MP44. It's a good photoshop manipulation, but there are obvious photoshop tricks. I think he's saying what he wants it to look like when they choose colors. If they had color shots we'd have seen them in a lot of photos, all they have is a grey proto right now.

 

I am one of those who will also say scroll back but in this case you can not blame him with al this talk about 'what I want to see in a figure' BS.

That is an interesting post though. Has MS ever released a figure fully painted? That would be great! Although I would prefer it to be unpainted as you don't get any scratches this way.
Anyone knows how long it took for MS once V1 was released to tease the MP upscaled one?

 

I guess most of the metallic repaints are fully painted. But it would be pretty cool to have a fully painted 'toon coloured' one.

But i guess that's NA's forte ahaha

 

I thought the repaints were painted but I had some doubts. I thought maybe it was the plastic that was coloured

 

That's what i thought at first but the joints on mine were stuck out of the box because of the paint lol

It's pretty durable so its as if it wasn't painted at all.

 

That's good to know. I would like one to be unpainted so I can play around with him and maybe buy one completely painted to pose it on a shelf and move it from time to time. Now if it's upscaled I will wait for it and decide which repaint I want afterwards.

 

Soundwave, Megatron, or Optimus have you covered then. The originals have very little paint while the metallic versions are almost completely covered. Also the white version of their MP Optimus has the most beautiful pearl paint (though they skipped his ear antennae).

 

So, what's the average turnaround from when MS announces a product, and its release?

It can depend. Sometimes it’s a few months like with preceptor other times it a lot longer like with the stunticons or prowl and smokescreen. Since they know prime 2.0 will likely sell it probably won’t be too long.

 

I don't think there's a typical turnaround time. Sometimes it's fast. And sometimes it's sloooooooow. For example, we first saw protoypes of Dead End and Drag Strip in 2017.

 

I was talking of this v2.0. But thanks, that means the repaints of the mold will have all sort of finishes

percy was fast and so was spockwave. i think the constructicons are also moving pretty quick as well.

im thinking 6 month window these days. but now that they are in direct comp with NA. they might try for sooner.

 

showz has him listed for late October, which is probably close. We’ll probably have him in hand late November-mid December time frame.
