Why are they doing that? Seems weird.

 

Maybe they're going to do display bases with metal pads for the magnets to stick to? Or maybe it's just a thing hobbyists do when building their own display sets and they're catering to it?

 

Took a while for ShowZ's cheap shipping to get here to America, but Soundwave finally came in, and he's pretty sweeeeet!!



I mostly sticking to real-world carbots in my Legends collection, but I love Soundwave, I will get a few of my favorites like this and the MFT IF Shockwave,
The blue Rumble is SO much fun, I love these tiny tiny Transformers, like NA's Insecticons and Bumblebee, I love those, and this little guy is the smallest yet!
And it's a really nice blue Rumble (I am firmly RIRFIB, but this guy is Rumble) it looks and poses really nice!! I friggen love it.
And I appreciate the Autoscout. Absolutely necessary if I want a set of minions for Soundwave. It's super simple in comparison to blue Rumble but I like it.
The tape set is on it's way, also from ShowZ, so... could be a while. That's fine. I am really stoked for how those are gonna come out now that I've seen Rumble.
Are New Age's tapes gonna be smaller than this?? Because this is tiny! I can't wait to find out - likely getting those too.

Bought Soundblaster yesterday, after good thinking tought it would be better to invest in the complete set from MST.
I could go for the THF set but then it would be my only MP scaled bot and I am afraid that I will find an excuse to buy more then.
I was also just looking at as too much money just to complete a Soundwave set but I will also have a Soundblaster with Ratbat for the Headmasters display.
End of the day a complete legends Soundwave set cost a bit indeed but I found the need to have it bigger then the cost.

Bleh, my rumble came without the little tip of one of this guns. Dunno why they did them that way, I can't imagine the others lasting long either, they are barely in there.

did it fall out in the box maybe? in my minions pack one of frenzy's guns was backwards and it dropped right out. but when they are the correct way they stay pretty well.

 

Sadly no, it would have been fairly easy to find in the shell.

im not really feeling it. i think the metallic paint MS uses is garbage. it looks like they are just shooting really cheap metallics that are super speckled. but i am sure @Snaku will be happy to see what a metallic soundwave looks like. without all the extra hassle of pin knocking.

This is bullshit.
I do not mind a re paint but now he can come with laserbeak.
Canceled my Megatron order, Soundwave and the mini bots are all I am getting from MST.
What a piece of shit company that is.

 

Uggg that metallic (under color) looks beautiful with correct shade of blue.. This fig makes me want to quit MS though. Sick of the new gimmicks,, the preorder only bonuses with Meg, the headache jumping thru hoops to get a complete set of cassettes, the sub par color of Soundwave (who after 55 days of showz shipping showed up with legs that are loose AF), not even in scale with their own blaster..

Now they announce this metallic with far superior colorway 2+ months later? Buyers remorse. Why couldn't they get SW color right first time round? Was it intentional? seems like strategy to sell as many versions of the mold as possible, rushed out cash grab on a fan favorite character but without the best interest of collectors that support them. To have the secondary SB and the repaint be so on point, but be off color on one the most classic Transformers ever, how's that even possible? Looking forward to their Stunticons, but roughly 3 years later,,, Again with the preorder only bonuses plus a price point now around $250 with markups due to the "highly anticipated" release. Meh. You can say business is business, but there's good business and bad business...

Edit: just saw it comes with a Laserbeak. F U magic square.

 

Their Blaster was too small. This was in the early days when MST was going for DX9 scale.

They have "rebooted" their scale.
