Same here. I apply maybe faction logos on a few bots, but that's as far as I go. I can't imagine ever being satisfied with the quality of decals at this scale, let alone my ability to apply them perfectly.

I find applying decals to be my zen activity. Except for stickering up Trypticon... that lizard can go to hell for all his damn stickers.

Nice. If either of my figures don't come with the decals and yours do, I'll definitely take one of you up on that. I'm not a big fan of stickers but I like dry rubs (when they're done well).

Oof. And I bought the toyhax set for him so I had even more stickering to do. I also painted some details - spent a good few days on him. But yeah, I mostly enjoy applying stickers/decals. Waterslides are especially enjoyable.

there's a leg mod to MFT blaster that brings his height down to about 1cm i believe, and does not involve swapping in MS blaster legs. basically you adjust the height by sliding the upper legs into the lower leg. transformation is not affected. but the height reduction gets MFT blaster to the height of HS soundwave, so i don't believe sufficient enough to match the new MS soundwave/soundblaster.

and if @Snaku doesn't take them, i'd be willing to take them off your hands! ;)

Wouldn't that put MFT Blaster's knee joint in a different position? Because it looks like it's in the same position on the stock MFT Blaster as it is on the custom painted one, which would mean they aren't doing the mod you're talking about.

I think their height is being equalized with a camera trick. The tilt of the framing, plus Blaster being set back a wee bit further than Soundwave.

there are no camera tricks or the cut up leg mod. that is MS blasters legs from the knees down. i can just tell because the proportion are so derped up. they just did the swap and ran it as is.

blaster is wearing the smaller lower legs. that is the only way his legs would be smaller from the knees down than soundwave.

unless they shopped him and even then that seems like a lot of unnecessary work just to get the portions off like the pics. sometimes the simplest solution is the correct one.

wasn't saying it has been done in this case, especially since i said the mod would get him down to about HS soundwave height, which i believe is still significantly taller than MS soundwave. just saying it can be done to perhaps make MFT blaster an option to work better with MS soundwave.

instead of all this guess work, can't someone just post the question and ask? ;)  to me the proportions of the lower leg doesn't look like it's a swap from the smaller MS blaster which is significantly smaller. but if it is, the figure works for me still, though not being able to transform him anymore would be a loss i don't think i would be able to accept.

All this hate for Soundblaster because of Laserbeak. Heck, I'd buy just the Soundblaster to offset some of the cost from someone. Love the color scheme.

Yeah Soundblaster's the champ here, maybe if they do a metallic or some other repaint of Soundwave I'll be more into it

That's good for at least a couple pairs of underwears at the Goodwill.

that’ll buy a couple of cans of Vienna sausages so at least you can eat. Better ration them though. Better yet, it’ll buy a lot of ramen noodles.

yeah, i really don't think there was a lower leg swap of the MST to the MFT!

i did a quick and dirty photoshop, and it shows that would have made his lower leg as thin as his arms, and clearly that's not the case.

the custom is definitely using at least MFT legs (if not all MFT). You can tell from the speaker holes in the legs. The middle ring has 12 holes in MS, 14 holes in MFT.
