Looks like Soundwave is coming in stock. Just paid my preorder off at Magic Square. Total was ~$45 shipped.

 

I do hope we can get the other 3 tapes not in the tapes team set somehow.

 

The dilemma of MS repaints...

silver paint replacing white plastic...

Would be cool if MS considered in the future a nice pearl white or even white paint or even a whiter white plastic like their ratchet / skyfire.

 

Got my notice from MS as well. I've really been on the fence about this figure since I found out they were going with silver instead of white. I think I'll still go in with him, but no promises he won't get disassembled and painted white in the Spring.

 

Paid in full, really liking this repaint.

 

Only because confused by the names since this one isn't "M", and it's "A" again and want to double check: This new one is cartoon blue, but with silver instead of white correct?

 

looks a non metallic blue and no extra shoulder detailing, and seems the yellow is a somewhat yellow / gold - metallic like the Metallic (vs the toon yellow).

 

this is definitely the version that i like the most. i can't wait to get this bad boy in hand. i might even sell the first release if this one looks as good in person as it does online.

 

"A" seems to be MS new catch all designation for any random colour changes that wasn't there in another prior release, plus adding silver to parts that are presumed bare metal and was represented by some other colour prior (pick your choice of grey, off white, light blue, etc).

Yeah, the silver is annoying. When the metallic version came out, I sacrificed my Soundblaster and swapped out all the silver parts on metallic Soundwave. I guess I'll have to do it all over again with this new version to finally get it right

LoL… i was thinking of other "A" words… like "annoying", or even "a-hole", but i guess "afterthought" works too!  

that's exactly what i thought they should have done with this re-issue versus adding the extra silver. and the thought of picking up this "A" re-issue and swapping out the silver for grey from the original toon release crossed my mind.

BUT… i'm thinking should i even bother??? cuz… what if MS decides to do that in yet another re-issue. and what designation will you think MS will put on it this time… "A+"???

 

 

Pins and all? Oof. I have an extra 1st edition but I detest pin removal.

 

I prefer the silver, tho I don't want to give Magic Square any bright ideas that they should do the same with Soundblaster, unless that's the only way I'm getting Overkill, Slugfest, and Stripes.

 

Damn, he looks cool as hell in these pictures. I like the silver instead of white too.
