I'm all for having one company for my collection, but I would hate to see new characters bumped to have them focus on their own versions of good figures already out. Move into combiners not only do we want the combiner hut the 5/6 team members that's a huge portion of the decepticon roster.

 

I'm aware of those but problems are they're either too small or big for the regular legends scale. In Shockwave's case I'd want to see if I could get a G1 version and that Fortress Maximus doesn't really have a Scorponok to go with and the Cerebros would be way too large

 

I don't think I'll ever find the Iron Factory 3-pack for a decent price, so I'm all down for these guys. Really excited for a Smokescreen in Legends class.

 

I think Skyfire and Shockwave both fit ok from IF, but each to their own - everyone has their own preferences on scale and aesthetics. 

 

If you want the idw look I might part with mine after getting a set of g1 boys

 

You might see the price on those come down some with this release, if you prefer the IDW look.

 

Yeah, depending on how these MST boys turn out, I might sell my iF versions.

 

Can't imagine selling my IF guys, but I hope Iron Factory starts making Cybertronian versions of characters again. Or at least distinctly IDW versions.

They do look nice but Sideswipe's ugly mug has put the brakes on my MST purchases for now.

 

I didn't actually realize Bluestreak and Prowl had different heads. For some reason I imagined they had the exact same design, like the seekers.

 

I hear you, but maybe having these recent promos shots focus on headshots is MST's way of telling us they're putting a greater emphasis on headsculpts now.

Iron Factory is still safe with their IDW stuff but I don't like their chunky limbs.

Yes, and Jazz and Shockwave/Longarm (ala the Botcon custom class figure that sells for a bazillion dollars). And ALL OF THOSE ARE NEW AGE.

As far as I can tell, the only new things we're seeing from Magic Square are gray Cosmos and the Datsun bros. mold, and color their half-assed attempt at Ginrai out of their Ultra Magnus.

 

I have ten MS figures in front of me and expect Cyclonus will be released by the end of the year. I am sure they can get dozen or so released next year.

 

the New Age datsun bros look sweet. MS not so much but I am liking the cosmos since it looks like a shrunk down klaatu...so i will bite.

i just hope that menasor under the box doesn't look like complete shit. i feel like IF set the standard of how legend combiners need to look.

 

I think you're saying that because the MS versions are not in color yet. I'd give them a chance.
