Nice, I’ll be pre ordering this. I hope the red is as bold as it looks. Not as opaque as the first one.This is why I never do first run MS figures because the new variant is always better.

The naming is kind of confusing, the MP new version is EX, this is only E. So I wonder if it’s just plain plastic.

I couldn’t really tell for sure with the pictures of the painted stunticons either.

That's some serious rework of the mold to do clear windows. They must be really invested in getting this guy just right.

Right after I typed my post it hit me: I wonder if that whole piece is clear plastic and just painted.

 

so clear windshield with painted surround on those pieces, but unpainted otherwise???

hmmmm… if so, this is probably a pass for me.   matching paint to bare plastic is troublesome as is and MS doesn't have a good track record with paint in general.  

also want those alt headlights changed to be real world rectangles.

anyway, i'll have to wait for in hand photos/reviews before making a decision.

 

Were the stunticons even painted? I thought they were just cast in slightly different plastic colours?

As for Prime, he still looks mostly unpainted here. The red around the windshield is definitely paint, but hard to say if the other red bits are painted.

I think this is still a good option for those that want prime without the trailer.

 

Beautiful! I’ve been holding out getting a MS Prime just cause I didn’t want to pay extra for a trailer that will sit untouched and forgotten in its box.

 

it looks like only the windshield is painted and they did a damn fine job matching it here in the promo.

 

I changed my mind since it’s probably unpainted. I need to see a side by side with the original to see if the red is better this time, not sure that only clear windows is worth the upgrade.

According to the MS promos, the Stunticon reissues were painted with a matte paint.

 

first thing i noticed too, pretty damn unsightly. otherwise, looking good. wonder if he'll come with the trailer.

The deal is off!  

I like the no trailer option and I probably won’t open the chest enough to stress it. I’m concerned about clear plastic tolerances and I need several min optimi for my display… assuming the piece is right. Better be like $50.
Gonna need the hand poses too, which I don’t see here.
