I’m happy they are doing some reissues but what MST really needs to do is release a Brawn and Outback!

 

Gonna keep my fingers crossed for a Soundwave and tapes reissue.  

 

Have Grapple and Inferno been confirmed? They are two of the last older releases I need.

I think the part about I like this prime the most is what I’ve seen the most complaints about for Magic Square, Which is the plastic. I adore the flat matte look and the feeling of the plastic makes it feel like a non transforming figure. Plus it being unpainted means I don’t have to worry about chipping. So it’s a Joy to mess with, especially with it’s portability. He looks right out of the cartoon and he’s super clean. My brother thought it didn’t transform when I first got it in. And with all the accessory’s, it’s arguably better than all the official non transforming primes on the market. Wild that this has more pose-ability than both the R.E.D and Super 7 ultimates

 

Agree. I like this plastic more than I like the plastic they used on their upscaled version of it.

Wish they could upscale to MP size...

Tbh, I was surprised how fast the original color sold out !! Then it was gone....

Also something about the FT Soundwave that just looks weird. Like there is something wrong about it, don't know if it's the proportions or the feet, but it looks odd. I can't seem to pinpoint the issue. Maybe the chest ???

The chrome trim and buttons with white arms and legs is a little odd since chrome is more toy and white is more toon (albeit it's a metallic pearly white so it ends up landing somewhere between toy and toon). Also the small tape door inside of the cutout for a larger tape door is odd but they did that to give him more toon like proportions. I'm not sure what you're seeing with the feet but I believe you.

 

Might just be the general proportions. The FT runs a bit thinner with the arms and legs with a smaller head. While the Magic Square has thicker proportions and more curved edges. The arms are slightly curved, same with the legs, it also ends up slightly cleaner too. Magic Square has always had the perfect G1 Toon look for a majority of their stuff IMO, they pull off the look and engineering better than the masterpiece scale ones.

Haha, thanks, but I can see it now that Godzilla has posted a side by side.
The feet are thinner, I see it now..
I also see everything else you've pointed out even more now, than before !!!
But is it me, or do the lower legs (shin/calve) look a little short, kinda like MP10, where proportions were ok, but the legs didn't look right. I see it now.
FT do good work in their designs, but you're right about their color choices !!
I'm not looking at you FT-55 Recorder...

I'm with you brother, I like much more of MS' figures/proportions than any other companies versions !!
