On the G1 toy the floor of the traile/front of the robot mode was one solid piece of red plastic. It went from his chin to his toes and everything else attached to it.

Oh. I never had the toy back in the day. Toon and comics showed him with white thighs so that's what I'd prefer.

 

On the G1 toy, his "thighs" were red:


White waist, red thighs, white shins.

I just think it gives so much more definition on modern figures... instead of this mass of white from the waist all the way down to the feet... red thighs makes the waist and lower legs pop out more.

 

I like that Seaspray, much better than the Titans Return one. Would love to know it's size though

 

I'll buy both white and red thighs. Maybe they'll do both.

 

UT Hardhead on the left there is pretty much the same height as your standard HasTak legends figures.

So this Seaspray is more Legion size.

 

Damn, oh well. I already have Maketoys and Igear Spray and I still like the Maketoys best out of all of them. Still looks really fun though. Maybe if he's cheap enough

 

I'm fine with either version most of the time. If only one version has a white blaster, that's where I get picky.

Cheebs looking back at your pic again, your color pic give me so high hope/expectation, I fear the final color production might disappoint me, lol

I would force myself to buy that red thigh w/ white waist (@l3x pic/toy colors) only for the sake of G1 toy and Marvel Comic nostalgic but would automatically skip the red thigh w/ blue waist like IDW or LG-14 (can't stand that version). Although I always despise/hate the red thigh when it comes UM as I was influenced by the toon white thigh more, but my hatred toward the red thigh w/white waist is a lot lesser than IDW red thigh w/ blue waist UM.

Speaking of the white blaster, hm...., I got spoiled by MP22 lavender blaster, the white gun doesn't excite me like it used to be...definitely white blaster over black blaster. But my preference now, black < white < lavender/MP22.
