That comparison really shows off the pros and cons of both.

    - MS has FAR superior articulation with butterflying shoulders, a head that can look down, articulated fingers and wrists, double elbows, drop down hips... NA has none of that.
    - It's obviously subjective, but MS does have the better looking bot proportions (not counting the head size). It's also a lot less busy... more cleaned up.
    - They both have problems with the white paint on the boosters. The stripes on the halves are off side to side. MS seems to to have inconsistent white plastic on the bot pieces. I haven't noticed that on NA's.
    - Alt modes... MS has rolling wheels and an upper canopy, but NA has that undercarriage canopy. MS has too small of a booster pack but NA has one that's too large. MS's boosters sit a lot more flush to the jet body than NA's. NA has a consistent fuselage while MS's tapers very un-jet like at the rear. NA's alt is larger by about a cm or two.

They're both great for different reasons. *If* I were to get both I'd display NA in alt and MS in bot.

    DOOOOEEEEET!!!! You NEEDS both ;)

Those extra articulation points are super important to a collector like myself, and a huge plus for fun to display.

I personally prefer the bot proportions on MS.

NA looks much more pristine to me and nicer white for the FRONT view of bot mode... this does not extend to alt mode where the booster take more area of view, but still good enough for me until i get the EX with superior expected paint (hopefully...). The white is colder, and at least in the image, nicer on NA where they didnt screw it up due to red plastic and not enough coating application.

Alt mode, I find the MS has much nicer (bigger) front air intakes, whilst i find them too small on the NA. And yea, the wheels roll... NA not even painted or rolling, like common. I like the 2nd opening windshield on MS. That said, NA has much nicer pristine looking front windshield where it is clear, due to painted seat area, whilst the MS looks cheap to me. The second windshield that is painted is obviously not as nice as MS clear opening windshield. I find the 2 NA back black boosters much nicer then the MS that looks way too long in my opinion anyways.

The comparison between the two gives me a whole big brother vs little brother vibe...or even, Hot Rod to Rodimus.

I'm kinda glad I didn't go all in on the Newage repaints. I kinda pretty much want this guy now, looks like his aesthetic will go with TT Skyfire in a way too

I meant the proportions. Opening canopy and functional wheels are fantastic features though, but looks wise NA vehicle mode is the clear winner for me.

    1. The figure is 17cm at the head and 17.5 if you count the backpack and weighs 160g.
    2. He rates the figure's looks a 9.
    3. The white paint (or maybe material) unfortunately is not up to the usual MS quality. There's some color mismatched in several areas. Also some sloppy edges on the plastic.
    4. A quick comparison with the NA version. As we all know, the NA version is actually taller, but if you use MP 57 as the standard, then MS's Sky/Jetfire matches what TT use as the standard.
    5. Both of the figures look great, but he likes the NA version since the white looks better and it has some diecast, making it heavier by 50g.
    6. The amount of accessories is basically the same except for the extra faction badge for MS.
    7. Articulation is pretty self-explanatory. He says the waist/ab crunch is a little loose on his copy.
    8. A quick comparison of the blaster. The NA version is bigger, while the MS version has paint.
    9. The transformation is also most self-explanatory. He does mention the Gerwalk mode isn't stable due to it being front-heavy, but you can also get the arms out, something you can't do with the NA version. The says the transformation is good, but the way NA did the backpack transformation is more interesting compared to MS.
    10. In jet mode, some of the mismatched white is more noticeable. Several parts are more yellowish in color. Otherwise, not much kibble in jet mode.
    11. The jet has a front cockpit with interior detail, but there's a hole in the seat making it look like a toilet. There's also a back cockpit that opens up. This feature is missing in the NA version.
    12. The wheels roll smoothly, and the hole in the front cockpit seat is actually a port for storing the gun.
    13. The feet are well hidden in the back of the jet.
    14. In terms of looks, it is hard to say which is better. The MS version has rolling wheels, whereas the NA does not. The NA doesn't have a rear cockpit that opens, but the transformation is more interesting, while the MS version looks nicer. The wings are sturdier in the MS version as well. The feet are more noticeable in the NA version. They both have their pros and cons.
    15. In summary, he does like the NA version more. He's disappointed that the Magic Square version has issues like mismatched colors, the plastic edges not being clean, and the transformation not being as interesting as the NA version.

Most likely reserved for a future MS-B47A or sold separately as an accessory pack. If they go the second route I hope they go all in and add stuff like a "VF1 style" chest plate + tons of extra weapons + perhaps even effect parts, like the Siege version.

*** ATTENTION / ALERT: NO extra Jetfire (faceplated toy version head shown in test shots) included in the box
    ***

At least i cant see any in the box from CuteMonkey's latest video below.
    Sina Visitor System

Well, at least I got my NA Skyfire and will get their toy version next, and i guess no longer a rush for MS version, will decide later what to do on it when i am more calm, as I am NOT a happy camper right now...

It's not often that Magic Square beats NA at articulation, but their Skyfire definitely seems to hold more (and better) poses.
I think he's going to look great next to most of their previous figures.

Notified that he's available 2am PST and I happened to be awake. Bought from MS direct. For those wondering, $60.99 plus $13.39 shipping to CA.

Yup, just bought. $74.38 total. Should be here in plenty of time for me to open on Christmas. Very first batch according to MS.

I like that they now have their own website and store :D
