I like them both the way they are. Their face sizes are reasonably similar. Jetfire’s helmet is bigger by design, making the whole head appear larger. You can see where the dome ends and then there’s that weird protrusion on top. They could’ve downsized that a bit.

 

I was looking at him thinking "Hmm, he looks quite youthful" but couldn't quite figure out why. You nailed it. He's like a toddler/child with a body that hasn't grown into the head.

Aside from that, I love it. One of my original issues is completely flipped. I originally thought that his legs appeared too stumpy, but now there appear long and perfect. Weird.

I wonder which alt mode (MS vs NA) is larger? The Jazzes prove going by bot mode tells you nothing about which alt will be bigger.

 

I think the proportion is not an issue. Look at the cockpit in the backpack. It even rises to the top in the cartoon design. The cartoon design makes no sense in many places...

I don’t get the issue here. Transformers all have different shaped/sized heads (aside from those sharing the same mold). In the G1 toon Jetfire’s head was large. I have zero issue with it. In fact the other jetfire’s heads are too small.

 

Head seems fine to me. Better than other MS figures like stunticons, that have proportionally small heads.

 

In my eyes, this is a real cartoon accurate Skyfire I like it very much! At this point i am interested to see his extras, and to see the size of his alt mode compared to NA ver Skyfire. Since I'm already post comprasion MST and NA versions according to these pictures alt mode shouldn't be smaller from NA just like it is with bot mode.

 

So does this have ab crunch?

They should paint the cockpit interior more premium, like a silver as FT did, or a dark steel like NA, will make the whole figure ALOT more premium. Guess I could do it myself if cockpit opens. I am guessing not and there is a transformation sequence...

Wish they would just show the Jetfire (with facemask) head, and that apparent booster set?

Or if they are doing a Jetfire or maybe an “a” version repaint, which I am not sure makes sense for them or not, cause I am super drawn to the NA EX Jetfire colours right now, but this MS one should be a lot more affordable.

 

Don't quote me on this, but that cut between the waist and pelvis for the swivel definitely makes me think there's room for a set of hinges to abcrunch and I'd be surprised if they didn't; considering most if not all their bots have that.

I guess the transformation is very similar to Fanstoys' Phoenix, like an underside yet improved version, at least the way the arm are stored in the jet's front. I'm curious if the jet's front would look hollow in Gerwalk mode.
One of the major differences is its wings, which need to be swiveled 180 degree into their positions between 2 modes.

In the head-on pics he looked a little too wide and squat to my eyes, but he looks great from this angle! Definitely the best pic of him IMO.

 

If you mean this photo, I kinda read that as existing/available figs going on sale. Nothing as lucky as a soundwave or MIA stunticons for those jonesin… :/

there were items on their site that were not recently on there...also items that were previously sold out, now available again. "re-releasing" is how I described it.

 

Have to say, NA won this round. I wish MS can re-design this skyfire. It might look like FT, but in a bad way.

 

yeah i like the NA bot better. but he is just too damn big for me. maybe the MS bot will look better in hand like the rest. but who really knows at this point. for me that head just looks extremely silly.
