Haven't seen a dedicated thread for MS Ratchet yet, so I figured I'd make one. If there is one already then my bad! Also figured I'd lump Ironhide into this thread as well since they'll be similar molds.

 

Overall pretty excited for both. MS has been KILLING IT with their most recent molds sculpt-wise. Such a great time to be a legends collector!

 

I love everyone of these! Can't wait for Ratchet and Ironhide from MST. Ratchet looks fantastic, I had the newage ones, but having 99% MST legends they were just too small. This will do!

I’m surprised by the lack of digibashes, not only for the guys in grey, but for Ironhide as well. This looks like a real home run mould, excited to see it with red, dark grey, and a southern accent!

 

Am I mistaken, or did NewAge just reveal a Hound, a Mirage, and an Ironhide? Hilarious the way these two companies move in lockstep.

 

You are not mistaken. They did just that. These companies are destined to butt heads in some way for the rest of time!   Haha. Doesn't matter much to me tho as I collect both MS and NA stuff for the most part.

I just hope that they don't end up cannibalizing each other out of existence. Hopefully it's healthy competition.

 

Please don't fuck this up somehow because I need a good Ironhide, especially since neither company's Cliffjumper turned out right.

 

Maybe digibashers are busy getting ready for Christmas.

 

I prefer the look of this ratchet, but MS is unlikely to churn out a black Ironhide. Especially one with G1 toy detail tampos.

I hope its just cause the ab is hinged / not pushed down that it has that gap. Surely it sits together normally by default.

 

It's hinged, just the ab crunch at work.

 

They'll have to be pretty impressive to dethrone my Hot Soldiers versions. I'm not saying they won't be, but it's a decently high bar.

 

In my personal opinion the Hot Soldiers bot mode has already been surpassed by the MS bot mode (even if it's still prototype).

 

I have to reserve my opinion until the process is further along. There are some definite nitpicks right now, but I'm willing to give them a chance to get them sorted out.

 

Do not think so, they have a different scale and look.
If any brand should get some troubles in the future if they do not change plans, it will be NA.
You can not bring out outdated designs or problematic designs and then release fixed parts for free.
All this will be counted for in 1 way or another in other sale prices to recoup that loss.
