Yea they had their work cut out for them on Grim but I'm not seeing anything this guy does that Rhedosaurus doesn't. Dino articulation is obviously worse, bot articulation seems on par, his back seems a tiny bit more compressed but I find it hard to care, and I think the face sculpt is worse.

I think NA wins by a hair.
Bot mode is almost the same. MS tries to do this dino head hiding thing but it still goes past his butt flap like the NA version. Both have great articulation. Maybe give it to NA due to MS head being slightly long. TBH this mode is a tie.
Dinobot mode is where NA wins slightly due to its neck and tail articulation. MS looks stiff. He also seems to lack that charm that NA portrays.

Either way. I’ll still get the MS version because who can say no to a well built dinosaur transformer. I’ll put MS in robot mode and NA in dino mode.

MS Toon NA G2 ftw still

this is literally like a carbon copy of the NA one. don’t care about the dino articulation too much as tbh the dino neck joints are my only complaint about the NA one as they’re too loose and a little awkward looking when posed

So the same dental solution as Grimmy. Shame. Such an odd design.

    Sorry to disappoint you
It was just promo to promo - mainly for design comparison

Both this and NA are close on robot mode on this one, and I think NA gets it in dino because of the articulation.

If I can impulse control, might just get MS Grims and skip the rest since I already have NA. I guess I’ll wait and see how the other MS dinos turn out. This sludge looks awesome, especially with how dynamic bot mode is, but I already have an awesome dynamic Sludge.

Is it me or does the head and eyes look a bit like SS86 Sludge? Even the sculpted details that run from the eyes to the mouth is like SS86. Same with the cut in the back of the head for the hinge.

The lack of knees in dino mode is rather disappointing. Sure, they didn't get the knees backward like NA, but that's no consolation...

back legs seem like they do have knees. front don’t but that’s just more trouble than it’s worth at this scale imo

I don't recall NA Sludge's knees being backwards

    this is the money shot.
not gon lie, altmode has, what, six points of articulation? they could also spread out the hand poses over the dinobots so we’d at least get a pair of each… asses.

Yeah the bot mode has me only justifying my earlier opinion further, they dropped the bal Lin his headsculpt. It’s too long and narrow. The Dino modes really are a toss up, just depends on what style you’re looking for but imo the NA does a better job in recreating that toon Dino look. Definitely looks more alive compared to the MS but I’ll withhold all judgements till I see a review. They nailed Grimlock though

That's fast! Also eat your heart out DP Robot Store, get out of here with those hyper-inflated prices and incorrect release dates.

I have felt that NA Sludge was one of their better looking figures, but since I saw the comparison with MS I just can't overlook NA's standard showing hinges and lack of cleaning up the figure, which I admit I missed most of without the comparison.

Seeing the comparison as well, I can say that MS for show version, NA for toy version.
