Can't speak for him but I find the prospect of trying to sell/trade off the extras to be exhausting.

Oh my God THIS. I have ten 8-gallon bins of Transformers I've been putting off selling for years. The last time I did so it was an enormous pain in the ass. I sold five grand worth of Transformers back in 2010 and it basically took over my life for a month and a half. Also, with what's going on in the world, not as many people have disposable income as one might think. Now is not a great time to try and sell stuff on eBay. And it's only going to get worse.

Are you an exclusive Thrust collector or do you have a Ramjet and Dirge already?

Honestly? I just don't like Ramjet's and Dirge's look. Never have. But Thrust I always thought looked cool.

And of course the other part of it is, as I said earlier, I only want one of this mold. I generally don't buy multiple retools of the same design, because I get bored of the transformation faster; even if there are slight differences. I've learned that the hard way.

I like these better than the NA ones but I went NA on Starscream/Thudercracker/Skywarp and the size difference would be a bit too noticeable for me. The wings even if they aren't accurate work for me but the backs are rather "flat" looking. Would have been nice if the inside of that flip up panel had been shown a little more love.

The one thing I couldn't tell from the videos I've seen is how tightly the torsos peg in on these. In the photos it looks a little less hollow and floppy than their first set of jets.

Definitely look forward to seeing general consensus of these once they are in hand. Generally I try not to repeat figures and I have the Pocket Toy KO of the Coneheads and the Iron Factory ones. But if they turned out to be strong entries, who knows.

Shame about the wings, because otherwise I think I like these better than NA too. I'm might end up giving them a try even though I went NA for the Seekers (which I think look better than MST). I could see the bigger size perhaps being a plus. It could help make them look even more like the brutish thugs I envision them as being. We'll see!

I'm generally all in for any MST figure but the jets have been the exception so far. I don't know if they rushed or they just weren't inspired or what. Other than Thrust, it seems like they could have maybe found a way to fold the wing parts into the back and both gotten them up and out of the way and even maybe dressed the flat back up a bit.

But I'm still interested enough in these that I want to see some pics of them and in particular with the New Age gang. I've seen a little from the reviews but not enough to have a solid idea of them. I see your point about them being bigger making them more thugish. Hmmm...

I don't know if this review has been posted yet. It has some comparisons with the NA Coneheads.

How’s the leg articulation on these (and the seekers) without a thigh swivel?

Judging by the backs, it kinda looks like you can put Thrust's wings up, to the spot where the Seekers have theirs

    Anyone confirmed this?

He flips the wings up, but it looks like you could also lift it on the other hinge so it's not upside-down

Even though I have all the NA Seekers except for Ghost Starscream, decided to give these a try.

And a ton of comparison shots:

    thrust bots.jpg
    thrust planes fly.jpg
    thrust planes ground.jpg
    ramjet bots.jpg
    ramjet planes fly.jpg
    ramjet planes ground.jpg

The pros (in my opinion) over NA:
    1) Their heads are the actual nosecones, and have a face sculpt that doesn't look a scrunched up potato face
    2) Better looking arm and leg design
    3) null rays mount on the elbows, so you turn them and get over arm poses
    4) More detailed looking chest

    The cons:
    1) No cluster bombs
    2) very gappy in jet mode- particularly between the cockpit and jet intakes and the centerline of the plane mode between the legs.
    3) Dirge's wings are overly large
    4) Loose jet intakes flip out of place if you look at them funny
    5) The biggest negative- the hideous back kibble. Unlike MS's normal seekers where you could be, out of sight, out of mind, if you fold the little wing pieces on Dirge and Ramjet all the way down to hide them from the front, they interfere with the gigantic wings on the legs, severely hindering posing. So you either have to fold out the little bits on the back, or leave the wings unfolded, otherwise the pieces get caught up on each other.

As has been said by some before, in the absence of NA, the MST Seekers and Coneheads would be fine. I just think NA gets more right.
