i wonder how MS is going to pull off the inevitable clear nylon version. they are pretty damn good at the clear game after all.

I hope so but I doubt it. Magnus v1 was the last translucent repaint MS has done, right?

So this isn't any hate for MST - they're still my favorite in the game - but their designs are just feeling more and more square and bulky to me. Or is it that I've been corrupted by all the EX figures I've been getting from Newage? :p

That's always been their aesthetic. Blocks, angles, and not so good faces.

Sure but these guys are just looking extra bulky to me. Especially Ratchet. Like I was wondering if the image was stretched.

yep, i have to agree that's MS style that's pretty consistent in their line-up and works really well with some specific characters who's designs are more squared off and blocky.

i'm surprised that you think for this round of bots that they are "thicker" than usual. i've always felt MS bots have always been on the "chonky" side. but the photo could be a little stretched if taken with a wide angle lens. i'm hoping that's the case as i'm finding Jetfire a little too wide and stocky built for my liking.

MP Light of Freedom, yes, but the legends scale translucent figure was a lucky draw exclusive.

I was going to say, having spent the past two days looking at G1 Mirage's model sheet, they got his design perfect.

Can't wait to see how his alt sizes up with Dragstrip's

he looks amazing! i love how MS is doing their hip skirts now, making them go into the hips opposed to just a flap sitting on top of the leg

hmmm… overall MS did a great job and the sculpt work on this is very impressive. but i'm finding proportions on the bot looking a tad off to me in some areas. head seems too small, as is the alt chest piece in comparison to the rest of the overly wide/thick torso and waist, which i've come to expect from MS and in line with their other past releases.

some photos of MP TE-03 in comparison, which i feel has nailed the proportions much better in bot mode for me.

the alt vehicle mode looks great, initial impressions is it might be better than MP TE-03!

looking forward to seeing more as this develops.
