Oh... huh. Bit of TF lore I didn't know. Looking at the ref... you're right... still some horrible colors. Like a kid grabbed his three primary color pencils, threw away the green and started coloring while pushing as hard as he could on the tips.

Earlier in this thread, it was said that Iron Factory's Megatron is 11.2 centimeters tall. I just got one, and it's only 10.6 cm tall at the head, and it doesn't look like the figure came with anything partially collapsed. (And 11.2 cm isn't the height at the top of the tank bits, either.) MST OP is going to be taller, for those using IF Tyrant as their Megatron.

Well I just measured mine and yeah, top of the head is about 10.6 cm and top of tank bits go about 12cm high as long as those are oriented properly.

In the end, head height might not be perfect, but the overall mass bewtween then might be equivalent being that IF Megs will be wider and may be taller with his back kibble. Not ideal, but good enough until IF or some other company makes a proper legends IDW Prime :3

I imagine I'll just have to keep them both in more action-y poses to hide the difference.

Maybe, I believe in hand the fact that MST Prime is lanky will compansate for his superior head height, but only seeing both side by side to tell for sure.

That was me and I think that was a guess based on the photos in this post:

No worries. IF Meg might still match MST Prime in overall bulk, and if not, MST will presumably have their own Megatron at some point. I find tank Megatrons to be more interesting, but I'm perfectly willing to buy gun Megatrons if they look good.

Ha! I have IF Megs, but NA Megs was gonna be my classic G1 Megs, I bet he’s gonna be shorter too.

Oh well, so much for scale, not missing out. Not gonna go with Dutch as my main Prime.

Same here regarding Dutch. After finding IF Megs to be shorter than I'd expected, I considered using Dutch as my OP, but I feel like it's not quite up to the standard of the more current legends figures.

The DX9 Dutch oversized is a few milimeters shorter, barely apreciable. Wait till the Magic Square Megs.

Product shot game is kinda weak, though. New Age has been spoiling us with dioramas and scenes with other figures.

Got some new photos courtesy of BB7 Toys Newsstand.

Possible picture of the packaging design as well.

[IMG] talk about junk in the trunk. i see somebody has been doing squats...

but seriously i am glad the back of the thigh has screws on it. that should make it worlds easier to break the leg down to repaint those extremely shitty thigh joints.
