I do have the 1st 2 NA Constructicons coming too. I was concerned about the MS offering being too big so I went in for a set of NA as well.

I have a funny feeling after getting the MS bots in hand, I'll probably sell the NA set and order a 2nd set of MS.

 

I think NA looks better as a team while MS will be better in combiner mode.

Jokes aside, I wasn't aware how expensive NA is, it's absurd. And talking about AliExpress... Now they charge fees and taxes, I wanted to buy a figure for 60€... The final price 80€... I think I won't buy more figures on AliExpress, don't compensates me. ShowZ has fast shipping and it's cheaper.

 

Indeed Show Z doesn't do the tax, so you risk the change, specialy now that they see that this parcel of yours has no VAT on it.
Parcel will be hold by customs and you will not only get VAT but also handling fee.
EU is cracking down on chinees mail for tax and you decide to buy from the store that doesn't charge it (YET).
Aliexpress does, Terry's does, soon Show Z will have too or no parcel will entire the EU from them.

 

I mean, that's what folks keep saying, but:
- We don't know how expensive upcoming Magic Square sets will be, and the first NewAge set is cheaper than the first Magic Square set.
- The NewAge Constructicons, if bought from ShowZ, are cheaper per-figure than any of NewAge's recent figures, excluding Bumblebee/Cliffjumper. This is true even if you factor in the price of the Devastator action figure. I compared the numbers here:

If you're going to look at North American retailer pricing for the NewAge bots, I think it's only fair to compare them to the North American retailer pricing for Magic Square. TFSource doesn't have the first Magic Square set listed for some reason, so I can't compare directly to deaculpa's post, but The Chosen Prime has both the first NewAge and the first Magic Square sets listed for $100 each.

So, NewAge: Expensive, but (so far) as expensive as Magic Square, and less expensive than their previous figures.

 

Most stores I buy from except for Bee and Cliff has NA priced higher as MS.
Even the local store holds a price of almost 50% higher for NA seekers?Soundwave compared to MS, only a couple of the carbots and leaders are priced the same and with MS you get a bigger figure for your money.
So I say they still win  .
For us everything is going to cost more anyway but even with the extra tax I would pay $93.50 for the NA first devy set when I order it in china compared to the $ 126 I would pay at the local store.

 

Just for the record, I had two packages from Show.Z delivered to me (I live in Italy) after the new regulations kicked in, and neither of those got taxed. Both orders were paid after July the 1st.
First one was sent before the store introduced the new shipping option for Europe, so I guess I've been lucky.
For the second one I upgraded my shipping plan to Economic Shipping + Tax... I assume it worked out well.
