Oh wow. I didn't realize how well some of the old, non-Legends combiners scale with Legends stuff. I'm particularly pleased with Dinoking, that's a great scale for him imo.

I don't know if it is a situation of you don't know him or you don't care, but I figured I'd add #7 is TFC Trinity Force/Road Caesar.

Does anyone know where to get the A set (Mixmaster and Scrapper, I think)?

Not sure why this set is sold out every where but the two others aren't.

Excellent group shot. So cool to see how they all compare. Very nice eye candy indeed.

I finally bought this guy. I love this set so much. The only major gripe I have is getting Hook and Longhaul to mate together. i tried for an eternity to get long haul's cabin peg to go into hook, but it would not go. Eventually I just jammed a screwdriver in there to widen the hole. Still a pain to get those two together. One of the shoulders on Hook was the wrong part, so I can't transform him completely, but thankfully it I can move stuff around to an alternate config while I wait for parts from magic square.

The engineering on this thing is incredible. I've spent like 11 hours now playing with it. Still need to transform them all back into bot mode just to have done it. That said, my fingertips hurt after playing with it so much. Can't wait to see what their bruticus is like.

Same, also bought them there yesterday. Arrived today.
Ordered the other 2 sets from Terry who seems to have a sale.

G2 set was restock at showZ, I wanted this set for a while but recently I got the stunticon box set and oh boy I was dissapointed with the QC, I had to shave the paint off so many tabs because they were too big to fit in where they were supposed to.
Do you guys recommend this set? I dont want to do fixes on a $200 set

when it comes to QC, it's a crap shoot with MS. ya gotta roll the dice and you get what you get. just buy it from a reputable retailer that will give you excellent after sales support and you'll eventually get sorted out if QC ends up not being in your favour.

i bought and have the G1 and G2 sets and neither had any major issues, but i had to reach out for after sales support on both for replacement parts.

The G2 boxset for Devastator is a different experience than the Stunticon boxset particularly because the Constructicons are broken up and packaged in their individual robot modes instead of together in combined mode. On my copy - I had some loose joints out of the box but was able to solve those without issue by tightening some screws. Besides that, there was some flashing but overall a good experience for me.

You can read more of my thoughts on this post and others on the next page: Magic Square Devastator

Also the stunticons were not made with their usual nylon plastic so it was much less tolerant of flaws.
