It'll be included with the Blu-Ray of Macross Frontier: The False Songstress.

Screenshots HERE. Supposedly it'll be similar to the gameplay of Macross Ultimate Frontier (PSP).

It probably won't need to be.

Only RPGs and the like is that really a necessity to enjoy playing Japanese games.

I've played a few imports in my time and even with my limited knowledge of Japanese managed to play through them.

Right, I'm not worried about not being able to understand what they are saying. I have Macross Ultimate Frontier for PSP and it's not hard to figure out what's going on.

I just would be less of a pain in the ass to navigate the menus and take full advantage of all the game has to offer if it was in english. But I'll take it either way!

don't forget about the new Another Century Episode: R that's coming out too guys. I know both the Macross Zero & MAcross Frontier Valks will be playable as well as Klan Klan

So, like, I'm a total noob to Macross, but it seems like something I'd be interested in trying out. Is there a certain viewing/reading order to the respective mangas/series/movies that would help things make more sense?

I googled to find a list, but the first 3 I found were all different from each other... :sly:

If your going to do the whole franchise, just watch them in production order. Otherwise, each chunk of it generally works by itself and you'll be able to follow thier own plots whilst just missing the odd reference to earlier stuff.

    Production order -

    SDF Macross (TV Series)
SDF Macross - Do You Remember Love (Movie Remake)
SDF Macross - Flashback 2012 (Music Video Compilation OVA)

Macross II (OVA - not continuity)

    Macross Plus (OVA)
Macross Plus - Movie Edition (Movie Recut)

    Macross 7 (TV Series)
    Macross 7 Encore (OVA)
Macross 7 - The Movie (Movie)
    Macross Dynamite 7 (OVA)

    Macross Zero (OVA)

    Macross Frontier (TV Series)
Macross Frontier - The False Diva (Movie Recut)

Stuff you should know before starting -

Macross II was produced by the owners of the franchise to cash in, but was kicked out of continuity by the original creator when he came back to do Plus and 7. Take or leave it as you please.

7 Encore and Movie take place during the later part of the series rather then after, but it doesen't matter if you watch them there or not.

Zero is a prequel, but don't watch it first as its the exception to the whole works-by-itself thing. You'll still be able to follow it, but you won't have much clue what some of it is about if you haven't seen SDF and 7. Hell, some people did see those first and still didn't get it.

God I hope not, I try to pretend M7 doesn't exist.

Anyway there's some speculation about this game being more of a demo for a later game judging by the graphics & and "trial" bit. Plus the fact that the movie is included on the disc, which would be more profitable to the creators if it was sold by itself.
