Okay, that was funny.

 

He's saying that those other guys worked because they weren't trying to be Cullen; they were doing their own thing. Because Bailey tried and failed to imitate an iconic actor (who still voices the character elsewhere) instead of doing his own Prime, the character suffered.

 

 

I enjoyed this and both actors did a good job.

 

I was going to post my thoughts on this... thing, but It seems there are many here who have already voiced how I feel.  

This show is just making me dislike the character even more than I did before. Her dialogue is painful to sit through.

Yeah, I'm out. I don't really care too much about the animation but the writing and the voice acting is too too god awful to ignore. It's just...words can't even describe how bad it is.

 

It was okay.

Optimus has a pretty good voice, but it's ruined by all that robotic-ness they've slapped over it, quite a shame really.

Also what's up with Optimus's movement? Just somehow dodging every one of Windblade's attacks by hopping back slightly and awkwardly shuffling around a little - Looked bit weird to be honest, and then suddenly he can fly/float at the end for... some reason?

 

Not looking at most of the comments because I still can't watch it. Hola's not working; I'm fully region locked.

Any way of fixing this? The first two episodes worked.

Prime sounded constipated, especially when Windblade was blowing him..

... With her fans...WTF people...

There is way too much head bobbing during speaking. Windblade came off like a whiny little girl, and still reminds me of a puppet the way her face is designed. Prime just dodged and bobbed out of the way, wasn't any kind of real conflict or action... I didn't hear the voice actor for Prime convey any emotion or do any justice to Cullen's voice style, might as well just had a completely different voice.

 

Damn, I immediately busted out laughing so hard and couldn't stop, I am on my tablet with headphones, my wife just looked at me like WTF is wrong with you.

It fit so much to what was going on is what made it so damn funny.

 

Another episode of Combiner Wars with no combiners....This should be called Windblade Wars. When she was talking about the devastation caused by the combiners, I just kept thinking "that's what I want to see."

This is the best thing ever.  

 

After I watch the episodes I feel like I didn't watch anything.

There is more story in one page of the comic than the first three episodes of this show. Seriously you can watch it without sound and get more out of it.

 

I became constipated after watching it.

 

... this series is starting to make me hate Windblade.

 

Oh hell, got me good. I give you an honorary news credit for this masterpiece.

 

That's not a fair comparison though. Those other guys weren't trying to be Cullen because they weren't portraying G1 Optimus Prime. They portrayed Optimus Primal, RID Prime, Armada Prime, etc... where it was fine for them to cut loose and not sound exactly like Optimus Prime because they weren't portraying exactly classic "Optimus Prime".

People can complain that he's not 100% pulling it off but let's be honest, it's only us die-hard fans who are going to notice. A casual viewer couldn't pick Peter Cullen out of a line-up and would say this sounds like Optimus Prime always did to them.

Okay, I watched this episode, and it wasn't horrible. It wasn't good, but it wasn't insultingly bad, either. And hey, me feeling indifferent to it is at least a step up from hate.
