hah i doubt many would recall the Machine Wars Database project I was working on ages ago [here's what i had http://www.deviantart.com/view/3225509/ ] Anyway, stuff got busy and we ended up abandoning the project. The only art that i had done was what you see there but since i no longer have those files ive had to rescan the original line art to those Optimus and Megatron pics. I plan on re-coloring them and then drawing out the rest of the Machine Wars cast. I'm reluctant to write the bios and the backstory to the Machine Wars and its characters so i might be looking for someone to do that for me *ponders* anyway, keep on the look out! i'll be churnin away at this in my free time
I remember the MW project... And it still looks great! Was there a valid story for Machine Wars or was it generic G1 retread fluff with no continuity? I could have swore the toys had BW style Bio-cards. I always liked the idea of one of Starscream's roaming Spark's many adventures in time, he went back to 1984 and Took control of the 'reactivation' to have himself built as the leader... *He activated Decepticons who he could control and enslave, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Soundwave. *Using a similar technique for Rampage in Beast Wars, Starscream SPLIT Megatron's spark and put half in MEGATRON and the other half in MEGAPLEX. This forced Megatron to obey Starscream as Megaplex was designed to watch and control Megatron and Death to Megaplex would kill Megatron. *So Starscream starts scrapping all the Autobots in 1984, Megatron knowing he is screwed scraps the little 'rebuilder' thing and sets it to activate after the Decepticons leave. *Prime, Prowl, Mirage and Hoist survive and are rebuilt. The rest of the autobots heavily damaged but two laser cores are still online. Hoist Takes the damaged memory files and personality of many of the autobots and combine them into 2 new warriors and Blammo, HUBCAP and WHIRL are born. *Hubcap mostly has experiences from most of the medic and engineer autobots (wheeljack, ratchet, grapple) and Whirl has the experiences of the brawlers (Ironhide, Lambo Twins, Bluestreak) And TADA! the machine wars are born! G1 retread! I've always thought MW Prime made a pretty cool Orian Pax. Ever notice every Pre-matrix Optimus has a single winshield (unlike Prime's twin windshields). And either though lazyness or an effort to make him less bulky he has a single rectangular chest. Looks like MW Prime to me. Wow haven't seen this in ages. Gotta love Google.
That looks extremely coolass. Having some bios & pics to go with would rawk. To have 84- now like that would be pure bliss. I have some MW misb pics if ya ever need. Just have these figs tho
