My 2 monthish old Macbook's screen is covered in dots! Everything that is black and then some other places is covered in little flashing green dots. Is this normal, as in normal enough that i can fix it?
Did you or a loved one put a large magnet on top of your MacBook? Seriously though, call tech support.
Monitor problems aren't generally the kind of thing you can fix, especially on a laptop. On the plus side, if it's only two months old it's still under warranty. Call Apple and get it fixed.
Mac has a good warranty. Take it to the closest Mac store and if you have registered it Mac will fix it for free. If not contact maC and they will send you a box for shipping, and pay for the shipping. I recomend getting the extended warranty if possible. That way if anything goes wrong with your computer for the next three years Mac will fix it. I had my system fried due to an electrical storm, and they fixed it. I lost a lot of data that I hadn't back up, but that was my fault for not backing it up. MY brother's Ipod has broken 3 times, but since it was under the extended warranty, he kept getting new Ipods.
My wife's Powerbook G4 had a pinch near the top of her screen, took it to the genius bar at Apple, the sent it off to get repaired and back to us within a week, all shipping and handling paid for.
from what you're describing you have the equivalent of dead pixels. Its really common for LCD based screens. I had a Ibook and it had 3 pixels that could not turn off the red so when you looked at a black image you saw a red pixel there. There's not alot you can do without replacing the LCD screen. If there are less than 5 of them Apple will tell you to deal with it, but in nicer terms.
get it checked out anyway if you are still under warranty, were you near any sort of equipment that can affect the laptop at the time? (magnets, fans, etc.)
