As a supporter of the Renegade Crowdfund, I'm as interested in the status of their projects as everyone else is, which is why I asked him to be on our show.

Well my question is, why hasn't he been here, or the other thread, or in emails with people who have emailed him when he clearly is still active on the internet.

I can sum this up before it even starts.

Wasn't his fault, someone else did it. The problem is the people who didn't pay up.
Unrustables was a success despite the negativity!
Things are rocky but getting better. Promise to make things right as soon as possible.
Tetrajets are still going to happen.

    Optimistic fleecing for everyone!

Why not just submit your questions and concerns to the people that will be doing the podcast. That way, it can be addressed during the show.

I’m pretty sure the show is going to be summed up like this:

Yes, I will be doing the show. It will be live on Facebook, so there will be opportunities for the audience to ask questions in addition to the questions that myself and my co-hosts will be asking. I personally won’t be asking Spencer if he’s embezzling our money and defrauding us because no one is dumb enough to answer that with a yes. I will be asking about the history of MAAS, the challenges of starting up a new company, starting at a new factory, etc along with the status of the purple bike refunds and raffle and their other projects.

I agree with everyone. Same story is going to happen, but at the moment many complications. Just trust us.

It has been more than a year with the Purple Bikes and I don’t see any promise of solutions.

"Renegades old funds were based on us working with Maketoys." Or so he says. So more money needed?

"Need to make money off of other products to fund Renegade."

He claims he won't be communicating anymore here.

    Summary of Renegade:

Everyones money is gone and they can't pay anyone back and can't start production on renegade at all because they need to make more money off other things to produce it.

He will respond to people on Facebook if they have podcasts and are nice to him.

True on that. Very likely will vanish for a while and then come back under another name with another project.

Going to admit, Anna's almost constant look of "Oh god this is horrible." either to the comments or whatever, was amusing.

So, @LBock now that it's concluded, care to share some thoughts?
Judging only by your posts and Likes in this thread and the Unrustable thread, you appear to be about as impartial (even favorable) a party as Spence could have hoped for. Do you think he answered the questions and concerns satisfactorily? Are you more or less confident in Maas Toys as a company? How about their ability to deliver what's been promised thus far?
    Thanks.

I'd say that the interview didn't go as I'd hoped and it may have been better for Spencer's sake to not have done the interview at all. Our podcast is typically positive, and while I expected there to be tough questions, I also would have hoped there would have been better answers. Spencer definitely seems to be going through a rough patch and I really hope that he can turn it around, because I have enjoyed the figures that MAAS has put out. I don't think anyone who watched the show would be more confident in MAAS than before.

If anyone wants to watch the show, it's available on the TFTalk Facebook page or via TFTalk.net or TFYLP.com. It should also be available on iTunes in a day or two.

I am now 99% sure Renegade will never exist. I'm glad I opted to grab Maketoys Meteor and customized him to my liking, though I continue to hope for some more IDW/Reformatted-friendly seekers. It's a shame that this was handled so poorly, it's definitely made me glad I didn't opt to go all-in on the set. I'm only out $10, but it's $10 I could've spent on...something that's not very, very clearly a lie at this point. I feel bad for all the kind, cool people that got roped into what's turned out to be a mess.

They are "still going to be made". How truthful that is remains to be seen, however I wouldn't hold my breath.

They should be taken to court or something.

I'm just gonna hope for the Hasbro versions to be KOed and OS

I am so glad I cancelled my pledge for these a day or two before the kickstarter ended, and just pre-ordered these guys at a regular online store instead, because now I can just cancel them and forget about them.

I'm sorry for all of those folks and stores that actually paid for these guys though, as this is a kick in the crotch with steel tipped boots, and even more so for those stores that bought into these, because I'm sure they bought quite a few sets. :(
