Mixmaser has some diecast in the legs and Scrapper straight up has 4 diecast panels that are sunk into the sides of the legs. The glue on mine was weak enough that 3 out of the 4 have popped off over time, even. Just used a tiny bit of gorilla glue gel to resecure them and they seem fine but it was an amusing problem to have. That said, I'd imagine they have diecast because they're the legs and they want to anchor down Devy's feet as much as they can.

52toys thread would work. Wether that or daimchoc on Facebook would be good either one could keep you well enough informed. I found out 20 min after tfw by keeping an eye on facebook

I started watching this thread when it was announced but kind of thought "oh that's neat, probably won't buy", despite having several cube-like figures already (52toys and stuff). Then I woke up today and it all clicked into place, so I've pre-ordered the sets on ShowZ. Super into this guy, will be right at home with the rest of my cube family/IF stuff :)  :D

Nice! I have the sets on preorder from Showz but none of them have shipped yet; I'll watch you all jealously until I get mine!

Hope they’d match the colours of Landbreaker Elite!

What exactly is that one item that looks to be painted up like Kaneda's motorcycle from Akira? It doesn't turn into a bike does it?

    It doesn’t, it’s a repair mech / diecast cube.

Cube-formers are the Funko Pops of the robotfigure world.

Valid association. I don’t see much point in those, either!

Yeah, this is some bullshit. Funko Pops aren't even actual action figures. You might have a point with the one-mode BeastBox line but THESE figures are 100% full-on proper transformers action figures with an *additional* mode thrown in. Shitting on the cube mode for these LuckyCat items is shitting on the skills of the designers, mate.

It wasn't a knock on the designers, but keep projecting your insecurities.

My remark was more a light-hearted jab at the fact that the cubes are kept in a box and displayed like that on the shelf.

I see your point as displaying them in the cubed and boxed way could be similar, but still, associating these with funko pop is such a huge diss to what these actually are as toys and how they're designed etc. Haha. You don't have to display them boxed away (some people do that even with regular transformers), but funko pops basically demands that you do lol. God I hate them so much.

You are 100% correct, but making fun of something sometimes involves cherry picking product features. :D

I think that Funko Pops are a waste of plastic, but I know people who get a real kick out of collecting them... So yeah, different strokes for different folks. It's all good.

Ok now I'm REALLY Freaking out! I LOVED that crazy show! The Classic Rock tracks during the transformation scenes were... Hilarious?

Never saw the original anime tho.
