Great video but that music is so BAD

 

Yeah I appreciate it when one member of the combiner team "wears the pants" and not be rendered useless, even though he has to "be a dick".


After watching all the videos, I feel this set is like a mix between DX9 Hulkie and MasterMade Devy for the individual bots and transformation, like it draws inspiration from both, kinda.

Also, don't know if the shoulders are just friction pegs for the rotation:

 

MixMaster's tank treads don't reach the ground, or did he miss a step? I noticed 'floating' tires and treads on a couple others, too.

Did I see that Bonecrusher's pistol comes with a different dude? I wonder if that one issue is why they're being sold in 2packs? Lulz at his Combiner mode basically being 'swing out my dick and jam a forearm up my ass when I'm in vehicle mode'.

I have to assume they got the idea to do this project from the BeastBox LandCrusher set, right? I wonder if these guys do double-time as 52Toys designers.

 

Given the size and lack of solid locking points it seems like there's a bit of "play" when it comes to the vehicle modes - in that you'll have to finetune everything so that the wheels/treads are flat on the ground.

 

This looks mighty impressive! It gives me great hope for their upcoming Megazord as well. These guys are on a roll!

 

i love my voltron from them, and was excited initially to see this being developed. there's a lot of neat stuff going on with this set, but ultimately i have my fill of too many Devys already, and this one just doesn't grab me enough to merit getting it and adding yet another one. dunno, some things about the aesthetics and proportions just doesn't work for me.

 

Agreed 100%. Don't really need another Devy anyway.

 

I had to comment just to agree. I was about to attempt to find out who the "artist" was just so I could know who I was hating!

Also sad this isn't as tall as other legends Devys   but I guess that saves me some money. Looks great otherwise!

 

This thing makes me *so* glad I waited for somebody to make Cybertronian Constructicons.

 

I would prefer to see Lucky Cat's Riki-Oh posed with Iron Factory's War Giant, since that's more stylistically in line, and what's actually on my shelf.

JEEEESH. It feels a lot different after typing it out. 9?!?!? yikes. I may get rid of a few, actually, after typing that out LOL. That said, I have the metallic voltron from lucky cat and adore it.

 

Yes, that's a devastating amount of Devastator!

But, if you think you really are gunna keep them all, then you're already at a critical enough mass of Constructicons to just keep embellishing a Devastator display, if that is what you're planning on doing with at least some of them.

And, I'm glad you liked Metal Micro Elvis! They are very tempting, but the face sculpt for combined mode didn't really sell me. Still, I might pick them up, eventually, but I will probably have them more often in cat mode... maybe. .^.

 

I have too many "things" and not enough room to devote a supercollection of one specific character, lol! I'm all about rotating. But yeah, their metallic voltron is a recommend from me!

 

This is the only reason I’m considering these. They’ll look good facing off with the IF WW Dynobots.

 

Excited for these to get released. I don't think I can have enough Devastators.  

 

This is way more worth getting than any of the G1 options

 

well… i have MasterMade Demolisher which i feel sort of fills that for me.

yeah, i got both voltron sets, and the metallic is the one to get of the two. that being said, i'm selling the original set if anyone is interest.  

i sort of in the same boat as you… though i don't have the larger devys like you do, thank goodness.
