That's one hell of a Macross-inspired Jetfire if that's who this turns out to be. Here's hoping the aesthetic won't cause it trouble, since I can definitely see the appeal in this for people.

If it's OG toy Jetfire, I'm interested, though I am already very happy with my Iron Factory Cygnus.

However, if it's a regular ol Valkyrie, I would really like it to include the Fast Packs to make it a Super Valkyrie. I don't need the bulk of the Armored Valkyrie, but the Super parts do help fill it out a good bit.

It looks like a Macross without armor to me, at least to start with, and not Jetfire with armor. Looks more like VF-1J, but could be a VF-1S that is more like the Jetfire, and if they do FPs for it (ie armor), this could be a Jetfire, especially if they repaint it into such.

I already love my Bandai small Valks with FPs (the most like Jetfire without actual jetfire colors), and my OS KO IF Cygnus, and my NA Jetfire EX, but open to more macross / jetfire goodies, especially from this company ;)

If this was MP sized I'd be all over it. I don't think Bandai's ever going to re-release the Chogokin Hikaru Valkyrie.

i don't think this will be jetfire, but a macross valkyrie. either way, unless it's hideous and/or expensive as hell, i'll be getting one.

and if it's cheap enough, i'll get an extra to repaint to whatever version it's not! :D

Well, yeah, that's the silhouette. But I thought anyone that crossed that IP got obliterated in lawsuits.

well if it is jetfire, it's still derived from the valkyrie. so would painting it as jetfire really get you any safer away from being legally skewered? LoL

Antennas point to the 1J not the 1S that Jetfire is based on

Silhouette only shows 2 guns / antenna on the head. Strongly implys a VF-1J Valkyrie. Not a VF-1S. I doubt this is to be a "jetfire". But, if not, than it certainly could be made / retooled to be one with a revised head and paint deco.

That said... I just don't "get" the whole transform into a cube thing. Not interested...

Maybe they're marketing it as a jetfire ko instead of a macross one in order to not get sued, since hasbro won that lawsuit against HG and can't be sued by them anymore either.

I'm pretty happy with my God of Flame, but I'm still interested to see if this is indeed Jetfire. Probably won't bite on it though, I don't quite see the appeal in these cubeformers

the other Lucky Cat bots also transform into the original alt as well as a cube, so presumably this has the Macross jet mode we’re used to.

The VF-1J was my favorite. The shape of the "face" with that particular 5 sided visor and two antennae had mesmerized my 6 year old self back then. The fact that it was end clip in Robotech's opening with that furious 360 shooting attack also made it more memorable (along with the mecha sound effects).
