Spoiler Warning Right now! Turn back if you haven't watched the movie. So when Lucas was killed by Lockdown's Grenades. He turned into metal. So does that mean he could turn into a transformer if Lockdown's grenades could potentially Cyberform? Sorry for the dumb question but I really liked his character. Also this is NOT SPAM. It is a serious question.
It's more like being flash-fried in metal. The dinosaur remnants in the Arctic for example, were just metallized-over dinosaur remains. I was worried he was going to be the jerk ex-bf from the trailers, though glad he was semi-likable, and managed to put up with Cade's man-child-like demands/tantrums.
I thought the frozen Dino towards the beginning looked much more like a TF Dinobot that just a frozen carcass that was glazed over
Yeah. I honestly liked how deliberate comic relief he was. His end was the tonal shift from the somewhat light hearted nature of the movie. Both Prime and Cade are given reason to kill Lockdown, and both were in rather brutal fashion. You saw it a mile away.. and yet I feel it wasn't a bad thing.
This completely destroys any arguments that the Dinobots were harvested from Earth after the first scene. Which is not an argument I support. Also I'm glad Lucas got deep fried, he was easily the worst character in the entire film. No. Really. It makes sense to keep your surfboard on your car in TEXAS.
Was he metal through and through? I thought I saw meat on him. Something pink. Regardless, that was unexpected and grim. I love how Lockdown looked at his evaporated body in disgust and transformed and drove off. All in that atmosphere. Ashes, a dead body, the black/grey background - it was fabulous.
I honestly didn't see it coming. The entire chase scene seconds before it though, I had been thinking "Holy shit this guy is literally on par with Sams roommate in ROTF, he really needs to die right fucking now". And then it was as if Bay magically flipped a switch and turned the movie into an actual TF movie.
I'm really glad I avoided spoilers to a certain point, cause Lucas' death TOTALLY caught me off guard. I was expecting him to be written off at some point in a comical way, leaving the gang to attend to his own stuff. But thank god that absolutely ridiculous explosion from the trailer actually had some weight and significance.
At least he wasn't as annoying as Wang in DOTM...though like you were surprised here, I was surprised Bay killed off the 'comic relief.' If only he could have done it with Buscemi in Armageddon.
I know...but it was like one of those characters thought would survive the movie and live happy and stuff....but he now lives a life as a strip of bacon.... Seriously I just liked his character for his short time in the movie....
I wondered at first if he would be a Chekovs gun for in the sequel with the way the camera lingered on his corpse but the more you got a look at him the more I thought, "Yeahnah...he's toast".
