You and every reseller on the planet. I'm happy to see they are not. Walgreens picked a good mold, popular gimmick and a solid color scheme. They deserve to be rewarded for their efforts.
That's a good point now if Hasbro and Walgreen's could coordinate their shit and get Brainstorm to us that would be cool
You can only order from them with a wholesale account. Their pricing is usually similar to other distributors, maybe a little higher than average.
I don't even have a Walgreen's, so I just ordered the SDCC set with him instead. Even if I already have Sentinel Prime, I uh...didn't have RID Windblade, so yay...and it's cheaper than what assholes are gouging for on eBay right now.
I already have six and plan on getting the Takara version, if I could get a case of 8 for a decent price I'd buy it the second it was available. Thats my plan, unless I can find one for around $30 rather then $40-70, I'd be better of getting three figures for $100 at that point. I might be a little more swayed because I like the color scheme more though.
It's not that I'm impatient, it the sudden change of the release date and that the one Wal-Mart sighing, that suggest that somewhere someone is not talking to the right people about when and how Brainstorm should be sold.
Yeah, that has me confused too. I have to wonder how did that Walmart in Kentucky get ahold of Brainstorm. I the sake of going off topic, It amuses me that this company is offering solid cases of these figures. A lot are readily available in my area.
It amuses you that a national/international distributor is offering a case assortment provided by Hasbro...because you happen to be able to find them easily?
It amuses me that Hasbro to my knowledge never offered solid cases to basic retail before. They usually do the with exclusives I should have clearified.
EE distribution offered certain CW figures as solid cases, iirc. Solid cases just tend not to get much attention unless it's a really popular and hard to find character. Which happens less in TF than say, Marvel Legends.
Solid cases make sense for online retailers, but not for brick and mortar retail. This is what solid cases at physical retail look like:
