But awhile since I posted any thing here. My comp has some issues, and I just recently got back to work on my comic.

Hope you guys like the pic

Overall, this is a cool piece. :thumb

I think one thing to consider is color theory. Things like reflected light, and the effects of certain colors receding, etc. would really push this from a "cool" piece to an "awesome" piece.

Glad you like the pic. I'll be completely honest and say that you lost me on the color theroy reference. I have active reflections in the image (Given, it is only one on Knyghtmare's sword). Are you talking about the fx around Bekka? Do you think it would look better if I faded the edges on that?

No, I'm talking about the composition as well as the color, lighting, etc. as a whole piece. Even though the central figure is black in color (character design), he is receding into the background while the background figures and the background itself are popping forward. Even some reflected light on the center figure would help pop him out just a bit. I hope that helps :)

Okay, I see what you mean now... I guess that's kinda a problem with a character made out of shadows lol

It can be, but it doesn't have to be. That's why I suggested what I did :)  Hopefully, you can read up on some color theory, and, if you don't end up going back to this piece, you can apply the knowledge to future work.

Honestly, the web can be a great resource for color theory, and a local library or bookstore can as well.

Keep up the great work, bud :thumb
